The Beeville City Hall and Police Station suffered a water loss that impacted 80% of their occupied sq ft., approximately 12,000 sq ft.

During the water mitigation, our team discovered the presence of heavy microbial. We followed strict federal guidelines for asbestos abatement, including the use of critical barrier containment, negative air machines, and air scrubbers. We successfully abated the microbial growth within 14 days, while maintaining air quality and the ability for the Courthouse and Police Station to stay operational.

Following successful remediation, we completed full reconstruction, restoring the City Hall and Police Department to pre-loss conditions.

Texas Southern University experienced a catastrophic underground power utility failure that shut down power to more than half of their campus, risking disrupted classes and athletic events, and displacing students housed on campus.

Westwood Restoration immediately mobilized equipment, including 20 light towers, forklifts, over 14 miles of cable, and around-the-clock staffing to bring power back to the campus. We successfully completed the startup of all buildings needing power, totaling 37 megawatts, and brought the campus back to pre-loss conditions!

A Senior Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Port Arthur, TX, experienced severe damages to their roof during Hurricane Laura, causing water intrusion that required emergency mitigation services. We were onsite within two hours of the first call, and upon pre-production sampling, we discovered that the facility contained asbestos.

We completed the mitigation and abatement of all five impacted wings while maintaining the assisted living facility's safety and operational capacity, getting them back to pre-loss conditions!

Project Highlight: Mercury Abatement at TSU

While mitigating a pipe burst in the H&PE Building at TSU, we discovered a rubber basketball floor under the plank which contained mercury in the paint compound.

We started the abatement of over 25,000 SF. by releasing the appropriate amount of off-gassing of the mercury v***r to salvage. We then epoxied the slab of the arena to prevent any adverse off-gassing and installed a temporary basketball court so the campus could continue sporting functions until we could install the permanent court after the sporting season.

With a tight timeline and minimizing interruptions to the basketball playoff schedule, we successfully installed the permanent court and got the university back to pre-loss conditions.

Emergency supplies save lives! In the case of a power outage from severe weather, make sure you have your emergency kit ready beforehand. Some supplies to include are:
✅ Nonperishable food to last at least 3 days
✅ Drinking water
✅ Battery-powered or hand-crank radio and an NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert
✅ First aid kit
