Inspired by Nature, Driven by Action - World Environment Day 2026

Across our Asset Solutions business, our teams marked World Environment Day under the theme “Inspired by nature, for climate, for our future.” From a litter pick along the River Dee in Aberdeen to switching to reusable cups in Australia, colleagues took practical steps to reduce waste and support their local environment. These small, collective actions help create meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future.

Reflecting on this year’s theme, Izabela Caskie, Environmental Manager, said:

“Climate change can feel like a cliché, but every action matters. While challenges such as rising seas and wildfires are very real, so are the solutions. World Environment Day gives us the chance to reflect on our connection to the planet and the role we all play in shaping a cleaner, more sustainable future and take actions to secure that future.”

Together, no matter how big or small we can take action to create a more sustainable future.

Celebrating two years of partnership and progress in Equatorial Guinea!

We continue to build strong momentum in Equatorial Guinea as we mark two years partnering with GEPetrol in Block B of the Zafiro field. Working side by side, our teams have overcome challenges and through collaboration across our onshore and offshore teams, have delivered safe and efficient day-to-day operations as we support GEPetrol’s journey towards becoming a fully independent national operator. Together, we’ve achieved a major milestone: 15 safe crude oil offtakes, representing approximately 15 million barrels from the Zafiro field.

Sandy Merson, Senior Vice President – Asset Operations, celebrated this milestone stating: “Our progress over the last two years shows what’s possible when we combine strong operational delivery with a clear sense of purpose. These milestones are not just about what we’ve achieved, but how we evolve. As we move forward, we’re committed to building an even more efficient and sustainable future, strengthening national capability and delivering lasting value for Equatorial Guinea.”

This , we're taking a look back at industrial craftsmanship that helped power American manufacturing.

This photo shows a paper mill batch digester built by CB&I, one of many constructed at our Birmingham plant.

Massive in scale and precision-built, these digesters were central to converting wood chips into pulp, which demonstrated CB&I’s ability to engineer durable, high-pressure vessels for demanding industrial environments.

From steel fabrication yards to paper mills across the country, this is another example of engineering built to last.

Before modern nuclear energy powered our world, it started with groundbreaking engineering like this:

Captured in this historic aerial photo is the nation’s first site-assembled nuclear reactor vessel taking shape at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant in Minnesota. Towering cranes, one labeled “Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.”, carefully positioned massive steel components that would become the heart of the reactor.

This moment represents more than construction, it’s a snapshot of innovation, teamwork, and the early days of clean energy development in the United States.

From these foundations, the industry has continued to evolve, but it all started with milestones like this one.

On April 10, our Bangkok office celebrated Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year. The team marked the occasion with a water ceremony to wash away bad luck, sins, and misfortunes from the previous year and welcome a fresh start.

We were especially honored to mark the occasion with the attendance of our CEO, Mark Butts, making the celebration even more memorable.
