Northland Community & Technical College (Workforce Development Solutions) and NCAT are proud to announce our partnership with ACE/IACMI to provide a summer Composite Bootcamp.

This in-person bootcamp will include basics in composites, shop safety, and use of machines. The students will build their own glider, attend industry tours, network and earn certificate of completion and digital badge.

This Composite Bootcamp is being held July 13th-17th, 2026 from 9am-4pm at the NCTC Aerospace Campus in Thief River Falls, MN!

FREE Composites in Aerospace Summer Bootcamp for secondary students age 16+, college students, and members of industry. This is limited to 15 students and takes place July 13-17, 2026. Registration information below.

In partnership with National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT), America's Cutting Edge (ACE), IACMI – The Composites Institute, Northland Community & Technical College Workforce Development Solutions is proud to offer this opportunity to explore composites, related career opportunities or upskill your workforce.

The bootcamp takes place at Northland Community and Technical College's Aerospace Campus in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Students will receive an introduction into composites, use several machines to build their own glider, attend industry tours, network, earn a digital badge and a certificate of completion.

This is a FREE class but you do need to register in advance.

Northland Community & Technical College Workforce Development Solutions, with support from the National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT) announces two AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International Trusted Operator Mentor/Protege cohorts this summer.

Trusted Operator Mentor/Protege gives educators the guidance and tools needed to embed Trusted Operator into their programs enabling their students to earn Trusted Operator Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.

This is a 4-day train the trainer event held in Thief River Falls, Minnesota at Northland's Aerospace Campus. Our first cohort in August 2025 was very well received and highly recommended for educators with unmanned aviation programs.
