🏡 Another custom home is taking shape!

Site prep is underway! 🚜

Today we’re removing and preparing the soil and having compaction testing performed to make sure the building pad is properly prepared before moving on to the foundation.

It may not be the prettiest stage of construction, but what happens under the foundation matters just as much as what you see above it.

If everything stays on schedule, we should be ready to start forming in about two weeks! 👏

We’re excited to watch this one come out of the ground!

📚 A throwback to one of our very first custom homes!

This custom library is still one of our favorite rooms we’ve had the opportunity to build.

The homeowners came to us with a vision inspired by one of our nation’s beautiful libraries, and we had the privilege of helping bring that inspiration into their home.

From the floor-to-ceiling custom bookcases and glass-front cabinetry to all of the detailed woodwork, this was definitely a room that made a statement — and all these years later, we still love looking back at it. ❤️

That’s one of our favorite things about building a truly custom home — your inspiration can come from anywhere.

How many contractors get to remodel the same bathroom TWICE — for two different homeowners? 🏡✨

In 2022, we completely remodeled this bathroom for the homeowners at the time.

A few years later, the home sold.

Then something pretty cool happened…

The new homeowners called G&C Custom Homes to remodel the very same bathroom again! ❤️

They had a completely different vision, so we went back to work. This second remodel included completely re-tiling the bathroom walls, changing the tub and shower configuration, installing a new freestanding tub and large glass-enclosed shower, updating the vanity and fixtures, and transforming the entire look of the room.

Now this bathroom has had three completely different looks — and we were fortunate enough to create two of them.

Same home. Same bathroom.
Two homeowners. Two visions. Two G&C remodels.
