Yesterday was one of those days where I uttered the sentence, "In over 30 years in construction I have never seen this."

We recently replaced a section of broken sewer line at this house. The line collapsed under the garage floor so we rerouted a new line around the garage and tied back into the sewer line and everything seemed fine.

Flash forward several weeks and we received a call that it was once again plugged and a drain snake was stuck in the pipe near the road.

We retrieved the snake and tried to snake it again. Imagine our surprise when we pulled a 2' chunk of 4" sewer pipe out of the 6" line at the sewer main. Apparently this piece had broken off under the garage floor and washed down the sewer pipe. We replaced the exposed sewer pipe and put another cleanout in and now this homeowner has a clear sewer pipe.

On jobs like this, we are very thankful to work with Greene's Plumbing, Heating & Electrical and for David Weaver's fishing skills with the drain auger.

Here's another emergency sewer repair we completed with Greene's Plumbing, Heating & Electrical this week. The sewer was plugged under the garage floor and we hoped to shove a new line through the old line, but it would not go so we changed plans and ran a new line out the front of the house, under the driveway and reconnected to the sewer main.

We've been getting calls for drainage issues after the recent rains. This is a set of cleanouts we replaced today. They are for a drain tile that serves three houses that were getting water in their basements. We discovered that the tile was completely full of roots where the old cleanout was so we removed them and now the tile is flowing again.

We finished demolishing this house trailer this afternoon. Thanks to Jeff Turco and Turco & Sons LLC for the rolloffs.

We received an emergency call for a water line repair yesterday. A large truck cut the corner, drove over the curb riser and broke the line. When we excavated today, we discovered the valve had completely separated from the main and the house line. Thankfully we were able to get it repaired and the water turned back on.
