Evening all,

Rod Glass just called me and there's another break in the water system. Water will be turned off at approximately 8AM! There hoping to beat the storm, but the repair may be as involved as today's was. Rod was not sure how long water would be off, so let's all hope it's a quick fix!

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoying their fall weather.

There are a few water issues I would like to address:

1. I was speaking with Rod Glass, the president of our Sunray Shores Water District, and he would like me to remind everyone that the State of NH is in a water drought. According to the state they have asked all residence to conserve the water to the best of their ability. If you are already conserving water, Rod says "Thank you."

2. I have received notification from the herbicide company that the canal and both ponds are safe to use for watering your lawns. Yeah!

3. I am told that the milfoil is growing back. I spot checked a few areas yesterday but I could not check all the areas. I was wondering if you could check your areas again and let me know if there is any milfoil in front of your homes in the pond, canal, and in any of the marinas' where your boat slip is. Also, if you could tell me when you are facing the water if the milfoil is to the right, left or center of your dock (slip) and approximately how far from the shore the new milfoil growth is growing. This will help me identify where the milfoil is so I can tell the divers to remove it when they come.

As of today, I still do not have a date for the divers.

Your assistance in all of these water issues will be appreciated. Also, I would like to thank you for all of your past help.

Have a great day!

Hi Everyone,

The herbicide treatment has been applied. We should see a significant reduction of the milfoil in a couple of weeks. This treatment should be good for a least two years. Maybe three years depending on rain vs dry weather; cloudy vs sunny days; extreme deep frost vs mild winter; and etc. So by the 3rd year we may see some milfoil growing back.

In addition to the Biologist, we had the chemical rep, and the assistant here too. I asked the biologist and the chemical rep to make recommendations and suggestions for our area and I will pass this information along as I get it. I don't know if there is a way to slow the milfoil growth or have more clarity in our water. I feel that the information on these topics will only educate us on how to reduce the milfoil growth if it is possible.

I was disappointed when I spoke to teenagers that where going swimming this afternoon and they were not informed about the chemical treatment. They live in a rented house. Please inform any and all guest of this treatment. Swimming will be available after 3pm on Friday, August 5th. This request is for your safety. Please see the posted flyers in your area or ask your tenants or guest to read them too.

Thank you for your understanding during this hot day and another hot day tomorrow.
