Smith Sawmill Service backs this up by having 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th generation saw filers with over 150 years of combined experience, making sure that the saws you receive from us will be the best saws available; the saws you want in your mill. On this day we honor the life of Paul Mullins, a man whose steady hands, generous spirit, and unwavering work ethic left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Paul spent 25 years at Smith Sawmill Service building and leading the Service Team, and in that time, he became far more than a coworker. He was a mentor, a problem solver, a steady presence, and a friend. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his dedication to the people around him.
​
Paul approached his work the same way he approached life - with patience, humility, and a quiet pride in doing things the right way. He didn’t need recognition to know his worth; he simply showed up, day after day, giving his best. And because of that, he earned the respect of many. His coworkers will remember his willingness to help, his calm in the middle of chaos, and the way he could fix just about anything with a wrench, a smile, and a little bit of stubborn determination.
​
But Paul’s legacy reaches far beyond the walls of the shop. He will be remembered by a multitude - family, friends, colleagues, and community members whose lives he touched in ways big and small.
