I casually got asked by a few people recently in my store if I used ChatGPT and AI to come up with the designs I use for my metalwork.

I cannot make this anymore clear-
No. Absolutely not, 1000% never, and never will. Please don't even ask me this because it is actually offensive. AI is pure dog s**t.
I use my brain. My brain has actually gathered enough inspiration and experience in 37 years, that I just sip my coffee, rattle around in there in the mornings and see what it can spit out that day in my garage.. and if I think it's cool, I hope others do too.

The journey is the whole point. Why would I replace the most exciting part of it? If you want to use it, ok, at this rate unfortunately it's so common that it seems like lots of people must actually WANT data centers taking over and destroying our land and water and our ability to use our brains...but I will choose to never support it.
It's going to turn us all into useless, lifeless, robots.

I'm bringing back some Kindling Krackers. I sold out of the last batch I made pretty quick (thank you!)
I've built them at 18" tall. I have one left at my store right now, but I will be making more

Some things to keep in mind:

🟢these are not made to split whole logs- they are designed to crack split wood for kindling, with a sledge
🟢quickly cuts your kindling for starting fires, for your woodstove, rocket stove, fireplaces or camp fires.
🟢portable- take it with you when you go to camp or use it throughout the seasons to prep for your winter heating.
🟢if you purchase one in conjuction with a rocket stove, I'll cut ya a deal 😁
🟢we have been using ours at home for 3 years and still haven’t needed to sharpen the blade, and we cut mostly hardwoods.

Made out of a spark plug, some hardware, and knives. The flower is sheet metal with a little spring- stands about 3ft when not placed in the ground.
Oh and he sparkles in the sun like Edward Cullen...heh (see last slide)

I had a great Memorial day/opening weekend at my store in Market Village. Thank you everyone who came out to support the local shops and businesses. I met a lot of new people and saw lots of familiar faces too.

My walls now feel almost bare, so I have plenty of work to do! 😆
It's definitely a blessing and I'm so grateful people enjoy my stuff.

My store is officially open for the season!
I have many new items this year and I will be making lots more to add throughout the coming weeks.
In addition to new metal art and functional decorative pieces, I will be selling kindling krackers (wood splitters) as well as fire pokers and more rocket stoves. I appreciate all the support I've gotten and all the new faces I've seen, people I've met, and cool stories from locals in the community. I can't wait to see everyone at Market Village!
