Capouse Splash Pad for the City of Scanton.

Our Capouse Splash Pad Project wrapped up last week with the City of Scranton and Mayor Cognetti hosting a ribbon cutting on August 13th to open the park just in time for the community to enjoy it for the end of the summer.

The old pool closed back in 2010 and has been an eyesore since. We are happy to be part of this great project that will provide a little break for the kids in the community over the summer months.

VFW Memorial Park for Dickson City Borough.

Was an honor to be involved in such a great project that recognizes our military for all there sacrifices for our country. The project called for a new electrical service with water fountain. A colored concrete seat wall with blue stone custom caps along with stamped colored concrete with 2 different patterns and an asphalt walkway. Naturally a new Flagpole with night lighting. This should serve the community and our veterans for a long time. The next phase of this project calls for custom memorial plaques to be set on our blue stone caps.
We could not have made this possible with out our incredibly concrete and masonry team and some of our subs and supplier like Four Winds Concrete, Bricks and Stones, BZ Electric, Corra's Concrete.

Always good to be working with engineer firm Barry Isset on another project this one is a large sitework and utility project for a New Athletic Center for the Hazleton School District.
Currently 2 of our sitework teams headed by Pete and Chris working on utilities with layout by John. Next week one of our Concrete teams to follow with sidewalks and curbs.

City of Scranton doing great things for its communities and we are happy to be part of the Capouse Ave Splash Pad Project. Wawa Plains Project we started over the winter for Developer Summit Realty Group. Always a pleasure working with John and his team at Summit as this is our 3rd Wawa for them over the years. Some progress photos as we prepare a pad ready site for Wawa Development to move in for on site development. Shout out to our Chris and Mike on one of our sitework teams for the hard work. Some of our work on this project included clearing grubbing erosion control massive bulk excavation along with crushing operations to recycle materials, utilities, pave, curbs, along with full blown HOP shoulder widening full width mill and overlay and new signalization.

Kobalt provides a broad range of services, including excavation, utilities, stormwater, curbing and sidewalks, concrete, and masonry structural foundations and civil. Kobalt’s staff and crews are bonded and insured, offering clients professional and reliable service.
Role Description: The Concrete/Mason Foreman is a full-time, on-site role located in Mount Pocono, PA. This role oversees daily concrete and masonry operations, including planning work, assigning tasks, ordering materials and supervising multiple crews on commercial, residential, and municipal projects. Responsibilities include coordinating formwork and flatwork activities, managing ready-mix concrete deliveries and placements, and ensuring work meets project specifications, safety standards, and schedule requirements. The Foreman will interpret blueprints, collaborate with project managers and inspectors, track materials and equipment, and maintain accurate records of progress and site conditions. The role also involves training crew members, enforcing safety procedures, and supporting a culture of quality workmanship and accountability.
Qualifications

Concrete construction skills, including formwork and flatwork, with the ability to lead crews in layout, placement, and finishing.
Masonry construction skills for cmu and brick veneer.
Experience operating or coordinating heavy equipment use on site, with strong awareness of safety and productivity requirements.
Knowledge of ready-mix concrete, including mix types, ordering, scheduling deliveries, and proper handling and curing practices.
Carpentry skills relevant to concrete and masonry work, such as building forms, shoring, and temporary structures.
Demonstrated experience as a foreman or lead in concrete/masonry or site work construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site plans.
Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Commitment to jobsite safety and familiarity with OSHA and industry safety standards.
Reliable transportation and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in construction or concrete/masonry are a plus.

One of our past winter projects for Quandell Construction. We were happy to be working with Quandell once again on a City Housing Project for the City of Scranton in an effort to bring affordable housing to the area.

Our scope on this was limited to excavation stone drains footings masonry walls and slab on grades for 4 large multi story units. Big thanks to Matt and his team from Cora's Concrete that assisted us with slab placement as this was a tight schedule during a challenging winter. Also like to thanks some of our suppliers, JDM Materials our ready mix supplier, Keystone Block, Vimco all our concrete accessories required. Shaun and John from our layout team who worked hard to get our building corners and layout spot on for the frame crew that followed and our concrete masonry teams who put it all together with Adams leadership on the site.

Ann Street Milford. We where happy to be working with Bryan from Barry Isett Engineers once again on close to our 10th park project over the years together. See some completed photos from this park project from last fall. Shout out Chris our PM for the hard work and attention to detail on this challenging little project with a lot going on in a small area. Our crews knocked it out of the park with PA fieldstone dry stack walls with large blue stone caps, stone underdrains concrete sidewalks fencing and plenty of landscaping. Shout out to some of our support team Bricks and Stones, Pike County Concrete, Specialty Fence, Central Clay Products Universal Pavement Maintenance and Striping.
