PD&B hosted the UT Family Business Center Manufacturing Roundtable meeting this week.
It was a pleasure to showcase all the new equipment on our floor and host an informative discussion about the potential uses of AI in the design and build of machining.

We’re lucky. We get to create things from scratch every day that positively impact people’s safety, productivity and engagement in their job! The frame below is in line to go on the boring mill and is a small part of a large piece of equipment that will help operators make aluminum tubing for air conditioners.

We're Hiring!
CNC Machinist/Programmer MID TO SENIOR LEVEL.

We are a custom machine builder so there are new parts and new challenges every day. We build custom robotic cells, conveyors, manufacturing lines, etc. We work in the aluminum extrusion, EV, HVAC, garage door, chemical and many more industries serving a variety of regional manufacturers, but also some international customers as well. Excellent work environment: exceptionally clean and air conditioned. Full time, 1st shift with ability to manage own area and provide direct input on tooling selection, equipment purchases, etc. Pay based on experience. Looking for a mid/senior-level hardworking self-starter to set up and operate two Haas vertical CNC machining centers with room for growth. Other responsibilities would include working and assisting other machinists in the shop when encountering difficult/challenging parts and obstacles, helping maintain a clean working environment and helping company grow through positive and direct feedback. Knowledge of Autodesk360 or Mastercam is required. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to +/-.005” tolerance required. Experience on CNC lathe a plus. Haas experience a plus. Primary responsibilities AR and AP and payroll along with reconciliation of two credit cards and bank statement. Maintain employee HR files. Generate financials for accounting firm and management. Some handling of phone calls, and general office responsibilities. Candidate shall possess courteous phone skills, be reliable, and proficient in QuickBooks and MS Office. Experience with ADP or payroll service a plus. Office is clean and organized. Schedule is flexible within M-F, 8am-4pm, and estimated to be 30 hours per week. Position could grow into full time depending on experience and candidate.

We have officially launched our newest robotic material handling line for our microchannel cutting lines. Check out the raw footage of some of the two cells that we created for this application. If you have customers asking for more throughput, this could be the answer! Both cells were in final debug, so some guarding and final panels are not in place.
