Dimensions: 6’8”H x 4’ Diameter

This piece explores the concept of tensegrity, a term coined by Buckminster Fuller from the phrase “tensional integrity,” describing structures stabilized through opposing forces of tension and compression. Inspired by the early sculptural work of Kenneth Snelson, the suspended human arms are held aloft only by chains, balance, and their own weight. Though the structure appears fragile, it remains stable through invisible forces working against one another. By using human anatomy, the work reflects the tension between strength and vulnerability, dependence and independence, inviting viewers to consider the unseen connections that shape both physical structures and the human experience.
