HME, Inc. started with a few steel projects, a garage, and dedication. 👏

Jon Haas, President, began fabricating small projects in 1994, and HME, Inc. was officially established two years later. As the projects grew, so did the team, technology and capabilities.

These photos capture an early milestone: concrete and trees being installed at 2828 NW Button Road in July 1998. Jon is pictured with his children, Taylor Haas and Kali Roberts.

That original operation eventually grew beyond HME. Today, six companies and nearly 800 employees across three states make up Haas Group.

Thirty years later, the original mindset remains: invest in good people, keep improving and always be ready for what comes next.

Here’s to 30 years and a next chapter already underway!

From an empty space to an unforgettable evening! 🎉

Haas Group employees and their families enjoyed chili and cinnamon rolls, live music from Dallas Pryor, a petting zoo, face painting, axe throwing, kettle corn, bouncy houses, glow sticks, balloon art and plenty of giveaways.

We celebrated two major milestones: 150 years of Topeka Foundry and Iron Works, and 30 years of HME, Inc.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it a night to remember!

At 46-feet and weighing 12,098 pounds, this rotary stack recently made its way through two Haas Group shops. Topeka Foundry and Iron Works handled the fabrication before sending it to the HME paint shop for its finished coat.

Next stop: becoming part of a custom-built copper melting furnace.
