The long wait is finally over….today, we officially broke ground on rebuilding a home for a family in our community who unfortunately lost everything in a devastating fire back in 2024 right before the holidays.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. It’s about more than building homes. It’s about helping families rebuild their lives, restore comfort, and create a place to call home again.

We are incredibly grateful and humbled to be in a position where we can help families through unexpected circumstances such as these. Seeing this new chapter begin today means a great deal to all of us.

We’re excited to bring this home back to life and look forward to sharing the journey along the way. ❤️

Restoring history isn’t about freezing time — it’s about honoring it while allowing it to evolve.

In the pictures shows the team mocking up what will be then intersection of a to a wood crown molding that will run up the rakes of the rooflines.

On this coastal renovation, our goal is simple: bring the exterior back to life while preserving the character that made it worth saving in the first place. Every line, detail, and proportion matters. The craftsmanship of the past deserves respect — not replacement.

At the same time, we’re thoughtfully integrating modern building science and technology behind the scenes. Stronger materials, better performance, longer lifespan — all without compromising the soul of the home.

Just what the stairs needed!

Every step tells a story—ours just happens to be rebuilt the right way.

In the heart of Salem’s historic district, we completed a custom stair tread replacement in our ongoing renovation that demanded precision, respect for the original structure, and zero room for error.

Each tread was:• Individually measured and milled for a perfect fit• Installed to maintain the home’s historic integrity• Finished to blend seamlessly with the existing character

No squeaks. No shortcuts. No “close enough.”Just tight joinery, clean transitions, and a staircase that feels as solid as it looks.

This is the level of detail required when working in one of Massachusetts’ most prominent historic areas—where the work has to stand up to both time and scrutiny.

Preserving the existing character while enhancing the details has been our objective from the start 🔨

We fabricated custom curved handrail extension to seamlessly tie into the existing iron balustrades, maintaining the integrity and style of this Spanish Revival home. Thoughtful coordination between old and new allows these architectural elements to feel original to the space while improving function and flow.

We are now moving into the final steps of this Spanish Revival project and are excited to hand this off to a great client who played a major role in bringing this theme to life. Collaboration and vision have driven this project from concept to reality, and we’re grateful to be part of it.

Excited to see this through to completion and proud to contribute to such a unique home.
