This Kenworth T880 is equipped and ready to help our crews tackle the challenging work our projects demand. We’re excited to put it to work and add another great piece of equipment to the Linkel fleet.

More progress on the Royal River!

From breaking down the old dam structures to pouring new concrete, our crew is keeping busy at the Bridge Street Dam project in Yarmouth.

These latest photos show another side of the work — heavy equipment, careful construction, and plenty of teamwork as we continue transforming this stretch of the Royal River.

Every step brings us closer to the larger goal: restoring more natural river flow and improving fish passage for years to come. 🐟

Taking shape at Meddybemps Lake.

A lot has changed since our last update!

Work continues on the new dam structure spanning the lake outlet, designed to help maintain more consistent lake levels while improving fish passage.

These aerial views give a great look at the scale of the project, and the progress happening on the ground.

Proud to be working alongside Acadia Civil Works and the Meddybemps Lake Association to bring it all together. 💪

Bridge Street Dam Progress

Big changes are taking shape on the Royal River in Yarmouth.

Work continues on the removal of the Bridge Street Dam, and these latest views show just how much the site has transformed. With significant portions of the dam removed, more of the natural riverbed is being revealed as the project moves forward.

The work is part of a larger effort to restore more natural river flow and improve fish passage along the Royal River.

We’re proud of the progress our crew is making and excited to see the river continue to take shape.

Project in Progress: Meddybemps Lake 🌊🚧

Work is underway at Meddybemps Lake, where Linkel Environmental is working alongside Acadia Civil Works and the Meddybemps Lake Association to remove the old concrete dam and construct a new dam spanning the outlet in a C-shaped configuration.

The new structure is designed to better maintain lake levels while also providing improved fish passage.

Why does it matter? In 2024, Meddybemps Lake experienced water level fluctuations of as much as 4.5 feet from spring to fall — compared with a normal fluctuation of approximately 2 feet.

There’s still work to be done, but we’re excited to share a look at the progress so far. Stay tuned as the new dam takes shape!
