Join the celebration at Pierce Pond for World Fish Migration Day!
Saturday, May 23 | 11 AM – 2 PM,

We’re proud to have played a role in the fish passage restoration project that helped reconnect Pierce Pond to the Bagaduce River and Penobscot Bay.

A great opportunity to learn more about Maine’s waterways, fish migration, and local restoration efforts.

We’re excited to showcase our latest installation using Greenloxx Grosoxx 🌱🌊
This innovative system offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional riprap seawalls—helping stabilize shorelines while supporting natural vegetation growth.
We recently completed this installation on one of our job sites, designed in collaboration with Walsh Engineering Associates. Partnerships like these are a big part of what we value—working alongside engineering firms that prioritize sustainable, forward-thinking solutions allows us to deliver projects that are both effective and environmentally responsible.
We’re looking forward to seeing how this site transforms as vegetation begins to establish and thrive. Stay tuned for updates as nature takes over!

We’re proud to have team members like Cam who represent the dedication and teamwork that drive our success. Keep up the great work, Cam! 💪

🐟 7 Months Later at Pierce Pond 🌊
Seven months after completion, the fish ladder at Pierce Pond is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
Projects like this make a real difference—restoring natural migration routes for alewives and supporting the long-term health of our waterways.
It’s great to see the impact in action.

Ride the Fish Bus!

Maine DMR’s Bureau of Sea-Run Fish & Habitat is excited to sponsor Alewife Days again in Spring 2026. This program helps elementary and high school classes across Maine visit active alewife fish runs and witness the incredible spring migrations happening in our rivers and lakes.

From alewives climbing fish ladders to sturgeon leaping in the Kennebec and Androscoggin, spring is full of life and we want students to experience it firsthand. From late April (coastal and southern streams) through early June (Downeast and Inland streams) fish, eagles, osprey and other wildlife crowd Maine’s river corridors. In 2025, schools traveled to their local fish runs from Yarmouth to Calais, and we hope to expand even further this year!

We are inviting schools to apply for transportation support to nearby fish runs. Funding is limited, so be sure to register early:

2026 is also a World Fish Migration Day year! Join the global celebration and register your visit as an official event (optional):
