Del Amo Construction was proud to join Descanso Gardens, Freeman Group, RIOS, and project partners for the recent groundbreaking ceremony of the Measure W Stormwater Capture Project.

The project will transform approximately 0.47 acres of existing parking lot into stormwater infrastructure, including a new underground cistern connected to the existing channel for water retention. The work supports Descanso Gardens’ broader vision for water reuse, future lake improvements, habitat restoration, and long-term sustainability across the property.

This project continues our valued relationship with Descanso Gardens, where Del Amo has had the privilege of contributing to a wide range of work over the years, including The Store, Marketplace improvements, and most recently, Farmhouse at Descanso Gardens. We are grateful to continue working with Descanso Gardens, Freeman Group, RIOS, and the broader project team in support of spaces that serve the community, protect natural resources, and enhance the visitor experience.

Check out the progress at Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue, where our team recently completed the roof deck pour for the school.

This work is part of the larger new School and Chapel project, which totals over 30,000 SF and represents an important addition to the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue campus.

Milestones like this take careful coordination between our field teams, concrete crew, pump operator, inspectors, and trade partners to keep the work moving safely and efficiently.

A big thank you to our client for their continued trust and partnership!

Building on our 20-year history building charter schools, Del Amo is wrapping up our work at Sycamore Creek Community Charter School in Cypress.

This project included improvements to the existing campus, site upgrades to support safer circulation and daily operations, and the addition of modular buildings to provide new classroom and office space. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help create a refreshed, functional environment for students, staff, and the broader school community.

Thank you to Red Hook Capital Partners for the opportunity to be part of this project!

Over the past 20+ years, Del Amo Construction has had the privilege of delivering projects across the Caltech campus, building a relationship rooted in trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

We’re proud to add the completion of the Zhang Lab to that long history. Spaces like this require more than quality construction. They demand a deep understanding of laboratory environments, from highly coordinated building systems to the precision, flexibility, and performance needed to support advanced research.

That expertise is what makes projects like Zhang Lab especially meaningful to our team. We’re proud to bring experience in complex lab and technical environments to a campus that is driving innovation and discovery every day.

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line. From planning through completion, this was a true team effort, and we’re grateful for the dedication, expertise, and collaboration of everyone involved.

We’re honored to continue supporting Caltech’s campus and research mission, and we look forward to the next opportunity to build together

The Del Amo team is at the California Charter Schools Conference in Long Beach this week, meeting with charter school leaders and partners from across the state.

We’ve appreciated the conversations around what campus development looks like in 2026, and how we’re collectively preparing for the future. It’s always a pleasure to see familiar faces and meet new people in this community.

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by our booth so far. If you haven’t paid us a visit, swing by Booth 743 before the conference concludes tomorrow (and drop off a raffle ticket while you’re at it). We look forward to seeing you!
