Reefscape 2025 Season Recap! We began our building journey right away after kickoff, and soon enough, the “Yellow Submarine” was born. Our team spent countless days and hours after school to build this amazing robot. This year, our team took our robot to three competitions this season, those being, Oregon State fairgrounds, Yakima Sundome, and Willsonville High-school. Our first competition was Oregon state where we took 2nd place and The Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors home! We also nominated our amazing lead mentor and biggest cheerleader Mr. Kirk Reinbold for the Woodie Flowers Award, sadly he did not win but he puts so much of his time and efforts into our team. We would not be the team or the people we are without him, his support toward us, his constant efforts, and endless dedication to the Metal Mallards, thank you Reinstone. Our second competition was Yakima Sundome, we made it to the playoffs and took home the Imagery Award. Our last and final competition was Willsonville where we unfortunately did not get picked for an alliance but still had fun. During off-season we took the Submarine to Tahoma High-School for Washington Girls’ Generation. We were picked for the 8th Alliance and made it to the playoffs. Our very final competition for Reefscape took place this weekend at Skyview High-School for Storm Surge! We unfortunately also did not get picked but had so much fun with our team and robot. We would also like to recognize all of our AMAZING sponsors this year! Without your guys’ help and support our robot would not have been what it is! And another shout out to all of our amazing mentors who helped us through any issues we may have faced and always having faith in us to build this robot. With that, we say goodbye to Reefscape and wait for 2026 Kickoff and our next season which we are all so excited to begin!
