Finished this basement and a new set of stairs. The wainscoting, stairs, and sliding barn doors are all Douglas fir.

BEFORE AND AFTER!
Our client had a tongue and groove painted fur porch floor with some yellow pine that someone had patched in when it started rotting.
We replaced with tongue and groove ipe (Brazilian Walnut), which should be oiled annually to keep it's natural color. Either way, the wood lasts for ever! Also we repaired and replaced the railing as needed.

Mazor Custom Building, LLC is looking for motivated individuals to join our close-knit team. We’re looking for carpenters with ‘frame to finish’ experience. Established in 2016, Mazor Custom Building, LLC strives to provide high quality custom carpentry and construction services in the Central New York area to help our clients meet and exceed their building dreams. Mazor Custom Building, LLC is located in Hamilton, NY and primarily services locations in Madison and Oneida Counties.

Role and Responsibilities
• Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials. Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials
• Fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenters level and laser levels
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
• Select tools, equipment, and/or materials from storage and transport items to work site and return to proper storage when not in use.
• Clean work areas, machines, or equipment/tools to maintain a clean and safe job site
• Cut and install timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drilling holes in timbers or lumber
• Sand surfaces to remove ridges, tool marks, glue, or caulking
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
• Capable of High Quality Finishing, including Cabinetry, trim work, drywall, etc.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers
• Must be able to work alone and with others
• Must follow all company policies and comply with direction from supervisors, both written and oral.
• Efficiency, punctuality, humility, and honesty a requirement
• Retain and submit all receipts, invoices, and other vendor documentation in a timely manner
Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years carpentry experience, preferred
• Experience with plumbing and electric, preferred
• Eagerness and willingness to learn
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety
• High standard of integrity and professionalism
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation required. Employee will report directly to job sites.
• Must have appropriate trade specific hand tools as well as some cordless power tools.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds or more.

Removed tile walls, moved and changed some plumbing in the basement, installed new fixtures, and Bertch Oasis walls.

Worked with my favorite father-in-law on this project. Had to replace the fixed door units, rework the deck flashing a little bit, add on to the roof with field hemmed standing seam, tongue and groove ceiling, and new siding. I never took final pictures!

Turned the village of Hamilton's old office into a space for an art school and gallery. Property owner and property manager gave me a huge leash while doing this, just had to work with a design company for colors, kitchen and bathroom materials. I did this my first year in business for myself.
Total gut, frame, fireproof, windows, tempered store front glass, electrical, hvac, sheetrock, to finished product. Had to make a door way through a brick wall and a trap door to the basement!
