๐ŸšจNow Offering CCTV Pipeline Televising๐Ÿšจ

GFA has recently expanded our Construction Services Department to now offering CCTV Pipeline Televising. Our CCTV sewer inspection services have the capability to capture detailed, high-resolution video of both new and existing pipelines to identify leaks, defects and blockages. These inspections minimize downtime during emergency breaks, reduce maintenance costs, and aid in long term capital improvement planning.

The Brand Avenue crossing over the North Branch of the To***co River in Clare County received a much needed overhaul! Crews from Grand River Construction, Inc. replaced the existing undersized and failing bridge with a 3-sided precast culvert from Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc.

GFA was able to assist the Clare County Road Commission on this Michigan Department of Transportation funded project by serving at the Certified Office Technician for the project and providing material testing support to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Great work to all involved!

Have you heard the news? The new City of Manton splash pad is now open! This new splash pad features bear themed fixtures to celebrate a 1971 event in which a mama bear and her two cubs made their way to Railroad Park and climbed a tree next to the Old Fire Hall for most of the day. Residents gathered throughout the day to observe the bears! ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒฒ

In addition to the splash pad, Railroad Park received additional improvements, including a new Huffcutt Concrete restroom building with showers, accessible walkways, a new Landscape Structures Inc. playground with rubber surface, additional park lighting, landscaping and additional amenities. This project was funded by a grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and was completed by Team Elmers.

GFA provided grant application assistance, engineering, surveying and cosntruction services for this fantastic addition to Manton, Michigan. Once grass is established, the improved park will provide a community gathering area for all residents and visitors to enjoy!

Congratulations to the Grand Traverse Conservation District on the official opening of the Ottaway Crossing Footbridge! GFA recently joined project partners for a ceremonial ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of this important milestone in the ongoing restoration of the Natural Education Reserve.

What began has a vision many years ago has now become the keystone feature at the Natural Education Reserve. Spanning 160 feet across the Boardman-Ottaway River at the former Sabin Dam site, the bridge provides a vital connection between miles of popular recreational trails within the Natural Education Reserve and the broader regional trail network.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

The Elk Rapids Rotary Park Improvements Project is officially complete! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽ‰

This project, completed by Molon, includes a new asphalt parking lot, a Board Safe universally accessible kayak launch, a seasonal restroom from Huffcutt Concrete with an adult changing table, the State's first permanent non-motorized boat wash, kayak storage lockers, accessible walkways and numerous other amenities.

This project, which was spearheaded by Paddle Antrim, was made possible with funding from numerous donors and grants from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Combined with an existing launch in Kewadin, this addition completes the first-ever fully accessible point-to-point paddling route on the 100-mile trail system, and provides yet another opportunity for accessible recreation here in Michigan.

GFA is glad to have been part of such a great addition to our community. Congratulations to all involved!
