Dove season opens Sept. 1, and we're reminding hunters not to be like Hank. Every dove season, we respond to outages caused by gunfire damaging power and fiber lines. Most involve fiber service, but a single shot can affect internet, electricity and hundreds of customers.

Before taking a shot, be aware of your surroundings and never shoot toward utility lines or equipment.
