ACECNJ held its 6th annual Climate Change Summit this week. Organized and hosted by ACECNJ's Young Professionals Committee, this event spotlights policy and technical issues that directly impact New Jersey's efforts to address the existential threat of climate change.

Panelists discussed ways to meet New Jersey's increasing energy demands including renewable energy development, EV build-out, and energy demands of data centers. Senior officials from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection provided a timely update on New Jersey's REAL Rules implementation. And newly confirmed NJDEP Commissioner Ed Potosnak discussed the Governor Mikie Sherrill Administration's priorities and initiatives.

ACECNJ and ACECNY recently hosted an exclusive industry day focused on Doing Business with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

This half-day program provided engineering firms with direct insight into the Authority’s capital program, procurement processes, organizational structure and strategic priorities.

Chief Engineer Mike Venuto led an engaging and interactive discussion that covered DRPA’s capital program, key business practice and procurement issues, and ways the Authority and the consultant industry are incorporating AI into their work.
