This summer, four area students represented Grundy Electric through statewide youth leadership programs sponsored by Missouri Electric Cooperatives.

Makayla Mejia of Trenton and Katie Bauer of Princeton participated in Missouri's 63rd Annual Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. They joined 110 other high school students from across the state for a week exploring the nation's capital while learning about leadership, community service, and civic engagement.

Lucy Price and Braxton Wilson, both of Trenton, attended the Missouri Electric Cooperative CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience) program, held in Jefferson City. The four-day conference brought together 110 high school students from across Missouri to develop leadership skills while learning about state government and the cooperative business model.

Our crews continue to make progress restoring power following the storm damage. At this time, we have identified approximately 40 broken poles.

We are grateful to have additional line crews from Farmers' Electric Cooperative - Missouri and United Electric Cooperative, Inc. assisting with restoration efforts. Their support is helping us restore power to our members as quickly and safely as possible.
