When widespread outages occur, scammers may try to take advantage of the situation. They may call, text or email claiming your service will be disconnected unless you act immediately.

🚩 Red flag: They pressure you to provide personal or payment information right away.

Always contact your electric cooperative through official channels such as the website, mobile app or the phone number listed on your bill.
