In advance of the upcoming Labor Day holiday, Mayor Jackie Veasy and Township Council used a portion of last night's Township Council meeting to present an official proclamation recognizing organized labor and the vital role labor unions play in shaping our nation.

From workplace safety to essential benefits, so many of the rights and protections people enjoy today exist thanks to the dedication, training, and hard work of organized labor.

We express our gratitude to the organized labor force for their ongoing commitment, extensive training, and critical contributions to our community and nation.

Thank you again for building our communities in so many ways on behalf of Mayor Veasy, Evesham Township Deputy Mayor Heather Cooper, Evesham Councilwoman Dr. Krystal Hunter, Councilman Joe Fisicaro, Jr. and Councilman Christian Smith.

At our August membership meeting S.E.T. Scholarships were awarded to recipients by S.E.T. Director George Samuelsen : Ethan Martinez in Honor of Anthony Capaccio and Ethan Silva in Honor of Richard E. Pierson (standing in on his behalf was Howard Pierson).
Business Manager Chris Cole stated in his report that work is busy and we should be finishing the year off very strong.
