TAP365N
Westinghouse TAP365N bus plug
600 volt, 400 amp, 4 wire, fusible

Lifeline / Standard series
This bus plug is for Standard/Lifeline series busway. The busway was originally manufactured by Westinghouse. Later it was manufactured by Cutler Hammer. Currently, Eaton owns the TAP bus plugs.

NOT for Pow-R Way
Westinghouse and Cutler Hammer manufactured other busway. The TAP bus plugs look like similar to an ITAP style bus plug. But, they are not interchangeable.

Availability
The TAP bus plugs can be tough to come by. We have a unit as of this posting. We have been able to source them in the past for customers who need a unit. Of course, past success is not a guarantee of future success. 🙂

We provide almost all reconditioned bus plugs, but these few are surplus units. The bus plugs have never been installed or energized.

Square D Busway Skidded and Ready to Go.

Legacy Reconditioned bus duct which has been tested, skidded, and ready to ship. This duct is Square D's I-Line series. The PQ bus plugs are riding on top. This order also called for a tap box, which the customer will use to feed power to their new busway run.

The tap box is the unit farthest away. For this order the tap box is a plug-in unit, which will plug into one of the ports in the bus duct. The use of the plug-in style tap box requires two end caps, one for each end.

Siemens ABD4064 Bus Duct

Last week, we posted the ABD306 , which is the 3 wire. This week we are posting an image of the 4 wire (with a neutral) version of the aluminum, 600 amp busway for the Siemens BD series. The neutral is less common in the older BD series duct.

Legacy Reconditioned Siemens ABD306 Busway

Close up of the straight end of four sections of Siemens' ABD306 busway. This busway is rated for 600 amps.

A casual glance at the bus bar and one might think it is copper. The appearance is due to the coating to prevent oxidation. This bus bar is aluminum. When the duct is on the ground like this duct is, a quick lift of one end and it is apparent it is aluminum. Copper bus bar would be MUCH heavier.

We have installed the bolts to connect the bus bars, and the duct will be tested prior to being skidded and shipped.

Square D PQ bus plugs being skidded up for shipment.

These 30 amp bus plugs have been tested and are getting ready to be shipped to their new home. These PQ bus plugs are part of a larger order for Square D I-Line busway.

The 30 amp PQs are the smallest fusible amperage offering in the PQ line up. If you need less than 30 amps (as low as 5 amps), you use a lower amperage fuse. If the requirement is for about 30 amps, you move to the 60 amp PQ.

A look at a Siemens UV424G bus plug for Siemens' XL-U series bus duct.

This bus plug is rated for 240 volts and 200 amps. It has a neutral and a ground. It would be used on XL-U busway with a neutral bus bar.

If the busway has a dedicated ground bar, this bus plug has a tab which makes the connection to the ground bar. If the duct does not have a dedicated ground bar, the UV424G will plug into the duct. We can supply this bus plug without the ground tab, if preferred (UV424).
