Troy Lumber Company Troy Lumber Company is a lumber manufacturer in Troy, NC. Troy Lumber Sales Corporation was opened in 1945 by Frederick Leslie Taylor Sr.

along with his wife, Alliene Taylor and his children, Leslie Whitesell, Frederick Harrison Taylor and Anthea Tate. In 1948 the company was incorporated and the name was changed to Troy Lumber Company. In 1978 the Lumber Division was expanded to resemble more closely what we see today. However, in September 1996 Hurricane Fran came through Troy and caused a fire that destroyed the Sawmill. In April

1997 the sawmill was back up and running with a new and improved system. The company is always striving to improve and increase production by adding new equipment and products. Troy Lumber Company is a family oriented business that pays close attention to safety matters. They want all of their employees to return home in the same physical condition they did when they left.
