The finish line is in sight. 🏡✨

The pre-walk is your final walkthrough before closing, where everything in the home is reviewed in detail. This is the time to identify any touch-ups, verify that selections were completed as expected, and ensure everything meets expectations before move-in.

After the pre-walk items are addressed, it’s time for closing... the final step where ownership officially transfers and the home becomes yours. 🎉 At this point, all the planning, decisions, and construction come together into a completed custom home ready for memories to be made.

It’s a big milestone and a rewarding one, seeing the full journey come to completion from that first patch of dirt to a finished home ready to live in.

Things are moving right along on this beautiful Hidalgo! The foundation is officially being poured, and that means this custom home is one big step closer to coming to life.

Next up - once the foundation cures and the forms are removed, framing begins! And honestly… that’s when the magic starts happening. ✨

Walls go up, rooms start taking shape, window placements become visible, and you can finally stand inside the home and picture the views from each space. It’s always exciting watching a set of plans turn into something real! 🏠❤

🚧 From Dirt to Drywall Series: Step 8 – Grading & Exterior Flatwork

Now we’re shaping the final details outside the home. 🌿

This stage includes grading the lot to ensure proper drainage away from the foundation, along with installing exterior flatwork like driveways, sidewalks, porches, and patios. These elements are essential for both function and curb appeal.

Proper grading helps protect the home by directing water away from the structure, while flatwork creates the pathways and outdoor surfaces that connect the home to its surroundings. It’s where practicality and presentation come together.

At this point, the exterior starts to feel complete and ready for everyday use. Walkways are in place, access is defined, and the home is fully taking shape inside and out.

We’re getting close to the finish line as we continue the journey from dirt to done 🏡✨

This is where the home really starts to shine. ✨

With drywall complete, the finishing trades come in to bring all the details together. This stage includes interior paint, trim work, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures, and final mechanical finishes. Each piece adds character, style, and functionality to the home.

You’ll start to see the design choices come to life—colors on the walls, cabinets installed in the kitchen, flooring tying each space together, and fixtures adding those final touches that make it feel complete.

It’s a busy phase with a lot of moving parts, but it’s also one of the most rewarding. The house transitions from construction site to a home with personality and purpose.

This adorable custom home just hit a BIG milestone… drywall is officially complete! 🙌

It’s amazing how much a home transforms at this stage. Once the drywall goes up, the rooms really start to come to life and you can finally feel the flow of the home, the size of the spaces, and the vision coming together. What once looked like framing and lumber suddenly starts feeling like an actual HOME.

Now comes the fun part… the finishing touches! 🎨 Cabinets, trim, flooring, lighting, and all the details that make this home uniquely theirs are right around the corner.

We’re getting more and more excited with every step of the process, and this one is definitely a game changer. Stay tuned… this beauty is only getting better from here! 👀✨
