Is the lowest bid really the least expensive option?

Not always.

A lower bid can sometimes mean real savings, but it may also mean certain costs, materials, or features have been reduced, underestimated, or left out altogether.

Things to compare carefully:

• Allowances
• Windows, roofing, siding & finishes
• Site work and land-development costs
• Standard features vs. upgrades
• Exclusions and potential change orders
• Construction methods and long-term maintenance

A $25,000 lower bid isn’t really a savings if it leaves out $40,000 worth of work you’ll still need.

Busy, busy day at the Sadie Grace! 🏡🔨

There’s was a whole lot happening on site this day! Flynn was there drilling the well and we also completed our electrical and low-voltage walkthrough!

Lots of moving parts, lots of decisions, and lots of progress! 😍

Whoop whoop! We’re officially at the foundation stage on this Hannah, and things are starting to get real!

It may not be the prettiest phase of the build, but it’s one of the most important. Right now it’s mostly dirt, concrete, and equipment, but before long this homesite is going to start looking a whole lot different. 👀

Every dream home has to start somewhere, and we’re laying the groundwork for something pretty exciting.
