By order of the football gods, all Saturday plans are hereby canceled until further notice. Time for smoky tailgates, packed stadiums, questionable officiating, and grown men pacing the living room while repeatedly muttering, “big third down right here…”

Of course, whenever there’s a season premier everyone will be watching, you can bet the most interesting man in drywall, Red Cain, already has the swamp boat dry docked in Baton Rouge, claimed his reserved seat at Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne’s tailgate, put away six pounds of crawfish at Willie’s, and been given a hero’s welcome onto the Gameday set as the first celebrity guest picker of the season.

As a former five-star All-American long snapper, two-time Heisman finalist, former Chief of Staff for Charlie Baker, and undefeated champion of tailgate golf with Pat McAfee, Red has never actually missed College Gameday. He simply occasionally allows them to proceed without him. While signing autographs, posing for pictures and reluctantly entertaining questions about his highly coveted betting favorites, Red admitted he’s impressed by Ohio State’s generously financed roster but has a sneaky feeling this might finally be the year Texas gets it done. On the Heisman front, Red, who regularly joins the ManningCast, likes Arch Manning’s chances to finally bring the trophy home to the royal family of football.

As for this week’s opener, Red likes Lane Kiffin to come out swinging, LSU to make an early statement, and the Tigers to easily cover the 9.5. His exact words: “Easy money.” At this point we know Red doesn’t make predictions. He simply gives the future a heads-up.

Who remembers our All-Purpose Camo Buckets?

They were originally designed to remain invisible to deer, kick off hunting season, and become the rugged alternative to a traditional shopping basket for husbands who were informed that, yes, they’re going apple picking. They may be retired, but at this point, the Camo Bucket is less of a product and more of a collector’s item. Somewhere out there, someone is sitting on three of them and calling it a retirement plan.

Just another day at RUCO... Making premium drywall finishing products and casually raising the standard.

So the question is: should we bring the Camo Buckets back?

BREAKING NEWS: In partnership with Axios, RUCO has officially been named a 2026 Atlanta Top Workplaces winner!

Great workplace cultures don’t happen by accident. They’re built by good people who show up, put in the work, look out for each other, take pride in what they do and know how to have a little fun along the way.

This recognition came straight from our employees through an internal survey covering leadership, benefits, direction, appreciation and the everyday RUCO experience. Honestly, it pretty much confirmed what we already knew. “The Choice of Professionals” isn’t just a tagline for the professionals who choose RUCO products. It’s also a reflection of the professionals who choose to show up and make RUCO a great place to work every day.

From Tucker to Anderson and everywhere in between, this one belongs to the entire RUCO team. We’re proud of what we make, but even prouder of the people who make it happen. Turns out, good people make better mud. Or maybe it’s the other way around.

The most anticipated event of the year has arrived. Thirteen sacred Saturdays, one coveted crown, and an alarming amount of confidence from people who have no idea what they’re talking about.

College football in the South is a lifestyle, a religion, a harsh mistress and somehow still the only toxic relationship we refuse to walk away from. At RUCO, there’s something coveted even more than a raise, extra vacation days, or a half page feature in the legendary RUCO Rundown: The RUCO College Football Pool Championship. It’s a tradition unlike any other. A season-long clash of confidence, conviction and completely irrational belief.

Last year, our Tucker Plant Manager, Adnan “AZ” Zeric, emerged victorious and let’s just say… his life has never been the same. Winning the RUCO Football Pool doesn’t just earn you bragging rights. It becomes part of your identity. It’s a prefix and title as sacred as the most illustrious honors in sports: Masters Champion, Heisman Trophy Winner, NBA Slam Dunk Champion, etc. AZ walks among the legends now. Half sports icon. Half folklore creature. Wandering the plant floor with the quiet confidence of a man who has stared into the chaos of college football and lived to tell the tale. But every great champion eventually has to defend the crown. Who will dethrone AZ? Who will emerge from the chaos? The season is coming. The crown is waiting....

The RUCO College Football Pool is back.

For years, the industry has been trying to figure out what makes RUCO such a different animal. We’ll let you in on the secret: it’s not what’s in the bucket, although having the best mud in the industry certainly helps. The real secret is the people standing next to it.

Before you’ve even confirmed the meeting, there’s a good chance our field sales reps are already idling in the driveway, unpacking the spray rig, training crews, solving problems and, occasionally, making sure everyone is properly fed, hydrated and sporting some fresh RUCO gameday swag. That jobsite time is our secret sauce.

Just this week, our Marketing Team and the most interesting man in drywall, Red Cain, made a tour-bus detour to Salem, South Carolina, for an Equalizer Plus spray at a beautiful lake house. Let’s just say the owner clearly wasn’t going to build a palace and then cheap out on the walls so naturally, Equalizer Plus was the obvious play. Greenville Drywall, a longtime RUCO Diamond Medallion customer, was running the show and they took the opportunity to show us a thing or two. Red Cain isn’t easily humbled, but even he had to stand up and deliver a slow clap for Kody Satterfield, who put on an absolute clinic. Naturally, our Marketing Manager, Jay Williams, decided he was ready for the big leagues. Kody handed him the rig; Jay stepped into the closet, and about 14 seconds later everyone remembered why we have field sales reps. We’ll call it a bloop single into left field. He got on base, but it wasn’t exactly SportsCenter Top 10 performance.

The bucket gets us in the door. Our people are what keep us there.

Please join us in welcoming Christi Adams to the RUCO roster as our new Buyer Planner at our Tucker plant.

Born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Christi spent part of her childhood in Germany as an Army brat, where German was actually her first language. These days, she calls Georgia home and only remembers enough German to keep us guessing. She grew up in a competitive sports family, spent years as a cheerleader and softball player, and still treats football season like a second job. Saturdays are reserved for College GameDay, Sundays are for the NFL, and she'll happily debate just about anything football.

When she's not at work, you'll find her tackling DIY projects, working in the yard, enjoying Mexican food or Chick-fil-A, or putting on a concert that absolutely no one asked for. When the holidays roll around, she's quick to defend Die Hard as a Christmas movie, and if you can quote Christmas Vacation, White Chicks, or Dumb & Dumber, you've probably found your new best friend. So you're saying there's a chance.....

We're glad to have another competitor, comedian, and football expert on the roster. Welcome to Team RUCO, Christi!

On The Road With RUCO.... Meet Edgar Ramirez.

Our trucks may all wear the same iconic RUCO jersey, but every driver has a different story. Today, we're riding shotgun with Edgar Ramirez.

Originally from Michoacán, Mexico, Edgar's trucking journey didn't begin behind the wheel, it started at a Dunkin Donuts distribution facility outside Hartford, Connecticut. After watching a coworker make the jump into trucking, Edgar caught the bug, traded glazed Munchkins for a CDL, and was ALL IN. Twelve years later, including the last four with RUCO, he's still doing what he loves.

For Edgar, it's all about the freedom of the open road, catching up with familiar faces at customer yards, and knowing no two days are the same. His road trip essentials? Water, Cheez-Its, apples, and enough true crime podcasts to solve at least three cold cases before lunch. Like every truck driver in Atlanta, Edgar also has one sworn enemy: I-285. Rush hour, lunchtime, midnight... it doesn't matter. Somehow it's always under construction, always backed up, and always finding new ways to test your patience.

Customers may not know that Edgar is also forklift certified. More than once, he's thrown on a safety vest, unloaded his own truck, and kept the delivery moving. When he's off the clock, he's a diehard soccer fan you can find cheering on Club América in Liga MX and Atlanta United in MLS or spending time with his kids, watching action thrillers, or heading back to Michoacán to visit family.

Ask Edgar what makes RUCO different, and he won't talk about trucks or elite drywall mud; he'll talk about the people and the unique culture. "The culture here is something special. It's hard to explain unless you've been part of it. Your teammates and your leaders genuinely care about you, want to help you grow, and are committed to seeing you succeed."

Thanks for everything you do, Edgar! Safe travels out there and if you ever find I-285 completely traffic-free, be sure to snap a picture. Nobody's going to believe you.

Team RUCO is still catching our breath after an incredibly productive week at our first FWCCA Florida Walls & Ceilings Show.

We hit the ground running like a pack of middle schoolers sprinting to the pool after a two-hour lightning delay. We caught up with familiar faces, strengthened relationships with customers and industry partners, and met plenty of new folks who wanted to find out if the RUCO legend could possibly live up to the hype. A few minutes with the best field sales team in the business was usually all it took to turn skeptics into believers.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth #520 and made our first Florida Walls & Ceilings Show one to remember. We can't wait to be back next year to defend our completely legitimate 59 at Pebble Beach on the Stadium Club golf simulator, our shuffleboard supremacy, and most importantly our reputation for being the standard everyone else is chasing.

Every July, championships are built long before a single snap is played.

The cameras are rolling as Team RUCO reports to training camp. The sun hasn't shown mercy in weeks, and the schedule is relentless. Hundreds of miles. Countless handshakes. Distributor visits. Contractor breakfasts. Product training. Jobsite calls.

Sources tell ESPN's Laura Rutledge the RUCO locker room has exceptional chemistry. Veterans are mentoring rookies, and multiple league sources expect the RUCO sales team to be off the board before the end of Round 1 in every fantasy draft. Scouts agree on one thing: RUCO remains the category's only manufacturer with a dedicated, bilingual, hands-on field sales team. They're just as comfortable solving problems caused by competitors' products as they are helping customers achieve the perfect finish; a competitive advantage the rest of the league is still trying to draft.

Coach Red's message was all business: "Hydrate, hustle, stay focused, and if you see a competitor's bucket on the jobsite... don't flinch. Just be ready when the customer asks how to fix it."

No holdouts. No load management. Just professionals doing what the competition wishes they could. Back to you, Adam!
