Not every lift happens on an open job site. Sometimes the load is a piece of machinery wedged into a spot it was never meant to leave, and the clock is running.

That is where machine moving and rigging come in. Awkward loads, tight access, and equipment that has to come out in one piece without damage to the machine or the building around it. It takes the right rigging plan, the right crane, and operators who have solved the problem before.

Machinery relocations, equipment set and removal, and rigging on tight sites across Southern Arizona. If there is a way to get it done, our team will find it.

Got a piece of equipment that needs to move? Tell us what you are working with.

Steel er****on is one of the most demanding parts of a commercial build. Beams and columns are heavy, the tolerances are tight, and the schedule downstream depends on the structure going up cleanly and safely. The wrong equipment or a missed window can set the whole project back.

Hook Crane works alongside contractors on steel er****on, truss and beam setting, and structural lifts across Southern Arizona. We help match the crane to the load and the site, so your steel goes up on time and your crew stays safe doing it.

Bring us in early and we will help you plan the lift around your schedule.

When Arizona's power demand peaks in the summer, the equipment behind the grid has to be ready. A lot of that equipment does not get where it needs to go without a crane.

Hook Crane has spent decades placing transformers and generators at power facilities across Southern Arizona, along with pumping equipment at well sites. These are heavy, high-value loads with very little room for error, and they often sit in tight or sensitive locations.

That work calls for the right crane matched to the load and the reach, certified operators, and rigging that is planned before anyone lifts anything. It is exactly the kind of job we have built our reputation on since 1978.

Transformer, generator, or utility component that needs to be set this summer? We can help you plan the lift.

July in Tucson is not the season to improvise a crane lift.

Extreme heat changes how a job site runs. Crews tire faster, equipment runs hotter, and the safety margin gets thinner as the afternoon builds. Summer lifts call for planning, not guesswork.

Here is how our team works through the heat:

We start early. Many summer lifts are scheduled at first light, before the worst of the temperatures set in.

We look after our people. NCCCO and MSHA certified operators are trained to manage pace, hydration, and crew safety on demanding sites.

We respect the equipment. Cranes are checked and maintained so heat does not turn into downtime in the middle of your lift.

The result is a lift that stays on schedule and on safety, even in the middle of a Tucson summer.

Planning a July or August lift? Let us get it on the calendar at the right time of day.

Some job sites you drive past every day. This one you cheer in every fall.

Our cranes were on site at the University of Arizona's football stadium to help set the new stadium lighting going in ahead of the 2026 season.

Placing equipment high above a stadium bowl takes precise rigging, an experienced operator, and the right crane for the reach and the load. It is the same care we bring to every lift across Southern Arizona, whether it is a rooftop unit on a Tucson office building or lights over a field that seats tens of thousands.

Watch our crew put it to work.

Lifting Tucson since 1978.

Arizona's power demand peaks in the summer. The state's utilities set new record highs again last year as cooling load climbed across the region.
That keeps power and water infrastructure running hard. Transformers, generators, and well pumping equipment get placed and swapped, and a lot of that work sits on regulated industrial ground.

Those sites have requirements. Our operators carry both NCCCO and MSHA certification, so we can work the mine and industrial sites that require it.

June is the hottest month of the year in Tucson. Average highs sit near 100 degrees and about half the days hit triple digits.

That heat causes commercial cooling to fail. And when a rooftop unit or cooling tower goes down, it has to be replaced fast, over an occupied building, often on a tight roof.

That lift is not the place for guesswork. Our operators are NCCCO certified, and we have been setting AC units and cooling towers on Tucson malls, office buildings, and other commercial roofs for decades. We know how these sites work before we get there.

Picking a crane comes down to four things:

• Load weight: How heavy the load is.
• Lift height: How high it has to go.
• Working radius: How far out from the crane it sits.
• Site access: What can actually fit and set up on your site.

A company with one crane fits your job to their crane. We run 13. The smallest is a 17 ton boom truck with 90 feet of reach. The largest is a 165 ton with 260 feet. We evaluate you give you the crane the job needs, not the only one on the lot.

Monsoon season officially starts June 15th.

That gives you a short window.

Storm winds and blowing dust make crane work harder once the season hits. Rooftop sets, transformer placements, and heavy structural lifts go cleaner in the dry stretch before then.

Get your lift locked in before June 15.
