Last week, our team joined our project partners and community members in Hermiston to celebrate the groundbreaking of Liberty Village!

This 17‑unit development will provide safe, stable housing with a focus on supporting veterans in need, an important step toward expanding access to housing in rural communities.

Together, we collected canned and non-perishable items for friends and housing partners at Northwest Housing Alternatives, and last week, we were proud to deliver nearly 𝟏.𝟒 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 - a meaningful contribution that helps support neighbors across our region!

Saturday was an incredible day in Lake Oswego as we celebrated the 50th Annual Lake Run, a milestone event supporting our friends and housing partners at Northwest Housing Alternatives!

The energy and sense of community throughout the day were truly inspiring. We are deeply grateful to our amazing team of employees, along with the friends and family members who showed up bright and early to participate in the 5K and cheer one another on. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and collective spirit helped make this event especially meaningful.

It was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together in support of a cause that strengthens our community and helps create stable housing for those who need it most.

𝐀 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥!

Developed by Sabin CDC, this project will transform the site into a five-story, 78-home community rooted in affordability, sustainability, and connection.

Thoughtfully designed by Scott Edwards Architecture to reflect the neighborhood’s character, the redevelopment strengthens community stability while creating welcoming homes in the heart of Northeast Portland. Designed to also meet a Path to Net Zero standard, the building will eliminate resident utility bills and reduce operating costs through highly efficient systems, supporting housing stability and raising the bar for sustainable affordable housing.

The development is named in honor of Nicole Sandoval, known to many as Nikki Brown Clown, a visionary artist, devoted mother, former Sabin resident, Board Chair, and beloved children’s entertainer whose creativity, advocacy, and joy have left a lasting mark on the community.
