💰 DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF MATERIAL SITTING ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY?

Good, nutrient-rich topsoil isn’t something we like to waste.

we recovered tons of quality topsoil and nutrient-rich sediment. Instead of mixing it with debris or pushing it somewhere it would go to waste, we took the extra time to save it and stockpile it for the customer.

That material can now be reused around the ranch for:

• Filling erosion areas
• Covering exposed rock
• Yard and pasture improvements
• Garden areas
• Low spots and washouts
• Future landscaping projects

Why throw away money when we can stockpile it for the next project?

🚧 QUESTION & ANSWER TIME! 🚧

I’ve had quite a few people ask me:

“What is a mop pipe? What does it do, and what is it used for?”

A mop pipe is an old-school technique used by pipeline operators to clean up muddy, nasty terrain when the job has to get finished but Mother Nature isn’t cooperating.

It’s basically a heavy piece of pipe that has been fabricated and reinforced to withstand the abuse of a large excavator.

Ideally, you want your mop pipe to be about the same width as the tracks on your machine. In our case, ours is 10’2” wide, matching the width of our Komatsu 210.

The reason these things work so well is simple: SURFACE AREA.

Instead of trying to smooth and seal wet ground with just the bucket, the mop pipe gives you a much wider contact area. As you drag it across the ground, it helps:

🔹 Smooth and level muddy terrain
🔹 Seal the surface as you drag it
🔹 Fill and smooth track marks
🔹 Spread material across a wider area
🔹 Leave a much cleaner finished product in wet conditions

They’re especially handy on pipeline right-of-ways, construction sites, pond work, land clearing, and other muddy jobs where you still have to get the job finished even when conditions aren’t perfect.

Sometimes the simplest attachments are the most useful.
