HVAC History Deep Cut 🕰️

The earliest home air conditioners didn't have disposable air filters like the ones we use today.

Instead, many systems relied on washable metal mesh filters that homeowners were expected to remove, clean by hand, and reinstall on a regular basis. While they helped protect the equipment, they weren't nearly as effective at trapping dust, pollen, and other airborne particles.

Today's pleated filters do a much better job of protecting both your HVAC system and the air inside your home—a small improvement that's made a big difference over the years.
