As we close the final day of 2025, we hope to adequately express our gratitude for all the opportunities we've been given throughout the year.

Our internal team and our external partners put us in the prime position to help build the future together through commercial construction in communities we love and support, blending craftsmanship and commitment in all our projects.

We want to recognize our trade partner, Lingo Construction, for their exceptional work on the Hardware project. This was a standout build that required precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail—and Lingo delivered at every stage. Thank you for your outstanding partnership and hard work. We’re proud to highlight our outstanding trade partner, Flintco, LLC, and the incredible collaboration we shared on the City of Edmond City Hall project completed earlier this year. From day one, they brought professionalism, clear communication, and a commitment to quality that elevated every phase of this project. Thank you, Flintco, for your dedication and craftsmanship. We look forward to many more successful projects together!

Nabholz is another trusted partner and we enjoy all the project partnerships we have together. This shout-out is specific to their community work. One of the ways they recently gave back to a community they serve is they hosted their "Newcastle High School Live" event and providing hands-on trade instruction to students.

Let's talk SWD leadership to close out week 4 of Careers in Construction Week (CICM)!

David Borchers , Chris Stehm, Daniel Nettles, & Daniel Mendell are the rockstars who have decades of combined experience and keep our company moving forward in quality craftsmanship and community-building relationships.

Our leadership team continues to grow and adapt, as well as to embody our mission, vision and core values (highlighted in the carousel). They collectively serve over 20 different organizations in service, sponsorships, and donations.

This team keeps their fingertips on the pulse of commercial construction industry by maintaining active memberships and engagement with industry-specific organizations.

Their commitment to relationships internally and within the communities we serve is inspiring.

Our CFO has a favorite professional motto, “Good leadership recognizes and rewards good performance”. He emphasizes, "A strong leader will strive to identify weaknesses in an organization and provide the tools, direction, support, and incentive to individuals at all levels in an organization, shifting responsibility to the worker to perform well."

They not only value our employees, partners, clients, contractors, and the commercial construction industry at-large, they also encourage us to do the same.

Happy FriYAY! One of the most critical roles in our construction world is the role of the project manager. For the end of week two of Careers in Construction Month (CICM) we want to recognize our incredible PMs.

We are grateful our PMs exemplify the top two most sought-after trust-building skills (per our recent survey) of "open/accessible communication" and "asking questions & listening".

Adam Turner, Braden York, David Lotich, Josh Nettles, Justin Wright, steve Robinson, & Tony McMullen manage all moving parts between partners, vendors, field managers, etc. for all our projects.

This team juggles planning, budgeting, coordination with teams, subcontractor management, monitoring and reporting on progress, quick and creative problem-solving, compliance, and documentation.

Their skills individually and collectively include leadership, communication, organization, technical proficiency, financial acumen, technology, and relationship management.

We trust them to represent our Southwest Drywall brand in the community and with all of our clients! If you have a commercial construction project and need a skilled PM, we have a fantastic team with offices both in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Happy FriYAY!

We love what we do and we love our partners!

When we are selected as a partner on any project, we take the responsibility seriously.

It is our job not to bring ego into the equation, but to bring a sense of humility to help advise and create around our partner's vision for their project.

We are happy to have been a part of the OBU Shawnee Hall Renovation project. We provided exterior services: framing, sheathing and GFRC cornice.

FriYAY Highlight. June 27th we had our 2025 Summer Family Retreat Day at the Post Oak Lodge in Tulsa.

That evening several of our team members (Daniel Mendell, Daniel Nettles, Doug McMullen, & Justin Wright) represented us at the 2025 ASAOK Annual Gala in Shawnee at the Grand Casino.

We were honored to spend the day with our families then spend time in the evening with other dedicated and passionate industry professionals.

We at Southwest Drywall wish all of you a fun and safe holiday with friends & family.

Fun fact related to construction: Did you know gunpowder - the same used in fireworks celebrations - was used for hundreds of years for building implosions?

One of the earliest recorded demos was 1773, the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Waterford, Ireland. 150 pounds of gunpowder was used in the demolition!

We now have more precise and safer materials, but the engineering and planning has always been the most important part of this process.

So, while you plan and engineer celebratory fireworks this evening and throughout the weekend, make sure you do so with the opposite effect in mind! Keep buildings and people fully safe and upright 🧨 🥳
