The original Salt Craw made us famous, and now Gene Larew Lures offers a full line of products - including Bobby Garland Crappie Baits - to meet every angler's needs. Gene Larew patented the salt impregnation process, so when we say "salt," we're not talking about shaking some in a bag of baits for anglers to see and calling it good. While salt in the bags might be good at catching fishermen, we'd rather our baits be known for catching fish.

It's with a mix of emotions that we share this final update from the Gene Larew brand. As Chad from YUM Bait Co. explains in this video, Gene Larew is transitioning into the Yum family in 2025. While it's tough to say goodbye to a brand with so much history, we're excited for the future and the benefits this transition will bring to you, our loyal customers. Iconic Gene Larew baits like the Biffle Bug, Hard Head, Salt Craw, and Hoo Daddy Jr will be joining the YUM lineup with even more options and an improved price point.
