The Petroleum Abstracts Division of The University of Tulsa was founded in 1961 and is the world's leading information source for published knowledge related to oil and gas exploration, production, transportation and storage. We produce the online TULSA® database and the Petroleum Abstracts Bulletin. The TULSA® database is a comprehensive source of information on the oil and gas exploration and pr

oduction industry with more than 1,100,000 entries dating from 1965 to present. The database contains indexed bibliographic references and abstracts for scientific and technical articles from 300 journals and 200 conference proceedings worldwide, patent gazettes and full-text patents, government documents, dissertations, books and other sources. Topics covered include: Geology; Geochemistry; Geophysics; Drilling; Well Logging; Well Completion and Servicing; Production of Oil and Gas; Reservoir Engineering and Recovery Methods; Pipelining, Shipping and Storage; Alternate Fuels and Energy Sources; Business and Economics; Health, Safety and Environment; and Science and Engineering. Access to TULSA® is available through our online vendor partners. As an important member of The University of Tulsa community, Petroleum Abstracts is comprised of information specialists in geosciences, engineering, information technology, editing and publishing, and document control and document delivery, who contribute to the development and production of the TULSA® database, the weekly Petroleum Abstracts Bulletin and other products. Petroleum Abstracts is supported primarily by subscription revenues from large oil and gas companies and government oil ministries, as well as universities, research groups and other energy-industry organizations in 27 countries.
