Second service entrance gear in this facility to set up power logging session on. This one is tricky. Old gear with neutral conductors behind all the phases and buswork. But got it done safely, and yes I had on my arc flash PPE. Safety first ALWAYS. I’ll get a couple weeks worth of load profiles on these service entrance switchboards plus plant equipment and operations data. Then I’ll analyze it all and provide a plan of action for their expansion plans moving forward.

Just starting a new power system study for a client. This one involves Load Flow, Protective Device Coordination, and Arc Flash studies. Got power logging equipment connected on a service entrance gear. Sometimes you have to get a little creative to keep your equipment from getting covered in metal filings and dust.
