Turpin Robotics would like to recognize Senior Gwynlyn Hannah for receiving the Embry-Riddle FIRST Scholarship.
From Embry Riddle: The purpose of the Embry-Riddle FIRST Scholarship is to allow FIRST and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to recognize high school students who have displayed significant achievements in education and leadership during their high school career. The award will be up to $5,000 annually to select participants of FIRST Tech Challenge FTC and FIRST Robotics Competition FRC.
Gwyn has been a part of the Engineering Club as a member and officer for her high school career, and she has been an amazing example of what our engineering club students can become with intelligence, perseverance, and opportunity all coming together. She has consistently found challenges both through school and on her own to grow and develop new skills such as programming.
By competing with our FTC team (FIRST Tech Challenge), she was eligible for this scholarship and joins many previous THS students who have been able to benefit from Turpin Robotics with scholarships to go along with the challenge, fun, and skill building that comes with working on robots.
