In rock climbing, route development is not for the faint of heart. It’s riddled with uncertainty, terrifying at times, and requires a tremendous amount of grit.
Big wall route development specifically is uncommon among everyday climbers, and especially among all-female teams, making ’s development of “Sintonia” (22 pitches, 5.13+) alongside , , , and , a rare and incredible achievement.
For fifteen days, the ladies sieged the wall, swapping rest days to maximize vertical progression. They battled rotten rock, heady lead falls, and exhaustion, all tracked on their COROS APEX 4.
