It has been brought to my attention that those who do not own businesses but rather work for them do not understand the IRS and business taxes. Invoices, receipts, proof of all payment recieved from all sources, etc and business expenses must be able to not only be shown on tax forms but supported. When producing work for others when holding full time jobs, with no help, because let's face it Noone wants to work...that means working after hours. Which in our case means putting in a full day's work in Executive leadership positions (which never truly end) beginning before most think about waking up, making decisions that could cost a company billions or make them billions or cost them a contract or maintain them a contract and then driving 1-4 hours home to complete someone's job request and starting it all over again the next day. This often includes extra labor hours that aren't charged for, lossed time with family, money out of pocket for whatever is needed at that exact time and so on. However, when an invoice is received payment is due at that time, for everyone, and everyone receives an invoice. You see, even though our daily jobs may not be what some consider work, at a certain age you should be above a certain "level of employment", so you may be required to leave the state with only a few days notice and need all items with unpaid invoices picked up due to unforseen circumstances. Either way, invoices are due upon receipt and I will always cya, because if you've haven't paid the IRS for years on end then you my friend need to work harder because you aren't making enough money! 😉 JK! You have to ensure everything is recorded and your business is covered for you and your family, not for anyone who doesn't like paying invoices or wants something for nothing, at the end of the day, do whatever is necessary to ensure your bills are paid and let the tears and feelings fall where they may!
