A well-run VMI cabinet tells a bigger story than what's sitting on the shelf.

Recently, we joined our distributor partner Myers & Co. for a visit to one of our customer VMI locations. Regular site visits help keep inventory stocked, organized, and ready when it's needed, while creating opportunities to discuss upcoming projects and challenges.

Funnel cakes, fries, corn dogs, and fresh lemonade… not a bad way to spend part of the workday 🍟🎡

As part of our 100th year celebration, we brought in a local fair food truck for the SSP team as a small thank you for all they do.

It was a great chance for everyone to step away for a bit, enjoy some classic fair food, and take advantage of the nice weather.

This past weekend, SSP employee Steve Gary took part in FastTrackPGH, an autocross fundraiser supporting the fight against Huntington’s disease. 🏁

The event brought together drivers, volunteers, sponsors, and the local community to raise money for a great cause, raising more than $38,000 this year alone.

We’re always proud to support employees who are involved in causes that make a real difference both on and off the track.

Great event, great people, and an even better cause.

Over-tightening a tube fitting is one of the easiest mistakes to make, and one of the most expensive to ignore.

More torque does not mean a better seal. In many cases, it can actually damage the tubing and ferrules, leading to leaks or premature fitting failure.

A few good reminders:
✔ Follow recommended installation instructions
✔ Avoid “just a little tighter” adjustments
✔ Train installers on proper fitting make-up
✔ Re-check procedures when leaks occur repeatedly

Last week, we spent time onsite with BVV alongside Midwest Valve and had the chance to see one of their high purity processing systems up close.

BVV builds equipment used for high purity chemical extraction and processing applications, where system integrity and reliability are critical throughout the process. It was great to see SSP valves and fittings integrated directly into the equipment and supporting the finished system in a real operating environment.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn more about BVV’s operation and see firsthand how our products support their process.

Last week, members of our IT, Accounting, and HR teams got out of the office for a team outing at OutRage Rage Room.

It was a great chance to blow off some steam, connect outside of the usual work setting, and spend time with people we don’t always get to see day to day.
