As many of you know my family is relocating to the Chicago suburbs when our house sells. I haven’t posted in a while as things have been crazy with showings. I am still here. I will continue to advocate and sell solar in all areas my company serves.

Our solar has been an obstacle selling the house. I never thought that would be the case. Our realtor is amazing and a solar expert now! We did just get it so it is not paid off. I have tried to explain it in different ways. It is like transferring your electric bill as we have always done for years. The solar bill replaces your electric bill up to 13k per year. If more is used then yes you will receive a bill.

I still have PTSD when the electric bill comes in the mail lol. Our solar did wipe our huge electric bill out back in May. Then we took the summer days for granted and we did use more than our system produced in July and August by 700 kWh (not much $120). We have considerably lowered our usage now. All the kids know to stop leaving everything on and turn lights out. This was our first summer with solar and when it didn’t cover our usage I was worried. Now we are in overproduction again and everyone is more aware.

I attached the screenshots of our previous electric bills. You can see where it wiped our $700 bill out this year to current day. I did this on purpose. Once I went to work in solar I purposely only made the minimum payments. Every time they would call for service interruption I would tell them I am waiting for my solar to wipe the balance 😂 it would always turn into a fun conversation.

I always say you will know right away if solar makes sense. I am here to remind you not to second guess yourself if it makes sense. If you have obstacles then we figure it out together. I will always stay competitive and make sure you get the best of the best. What happens when your bill doubles again? We have no protection from that.

Praying we sell the house this weekend 🙏 We found the right house that couldn’t sell because it has solar so we need to sell ours this weekend. Crazy!

Our solar panels are finally producing!

The guys came to exchange our meter around 9:30am, and 10 minutes later it was up and producing! I learned that the wires on our meter are being stretched due to foundation settlement, which needs to be fixed promptly for safety reasons. We will definitely be looking for that during your site assessment and fix it with your solar installation.

Ashley and I are excited about what 2024 holds in store! Recently, there have been many exciting changes. We will be interviewed by Brenda Love - Fox 8 Real Estate on April 9, so keep an eye out for us 😁
