Blue Flint Ethanol produces over 65 million gallons of ethanol per year at its corn-based biorefinery near Underwood, ND. In addition to ethanol, Blue Flint produces distillers’ grains for use in livestock rations and corn oil for use in biodiesel production. Blue Flint purchases 23 million bushels of North Dakota corn annually to meet these production goals. Blue Flint Ethanol and Coal Creek Dryi

ng & Storage provide on-site grain drying and storage to serve the local farming community.The dryer at Coal Creek Drying & Storage can dry 5,000 bushels hour and the two facilities combined have 2.75 million bushels of storage capacity. Blue Flint Ethanol utilizes steam from the adjacent Coal Creek Station power plant for process energy and drying distillers’ grains. The co-location and use of steam are key factors in making Blue Flint Ethanol one of the most cost-effective, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly plants in the country.

Thank you to Washburn Life - Washburn Area Improvement Association for hosting such a fun and engaging event that brings our community together. It was wonderful connecting with so many familiar faces and meeting new ones along the way.
