A good pour starts long before the first truck shows up.
Planning. Layout. Formwork. Reinforcing. Coordination. And a crew that knows the work.
When it’s time to place concrete, every detail matters.
Get it right. Build it to last.

Some problems don’t show up on the drawings.

That’s where experience matters.

Across LYLES, you’ll find people who have spent years, and in many cases decades, building projects together. They’ve seen conditions change, worked through difficult shutdowns, solved problems in the field, and carried those lessons from one project to the next.

That experience matters when the plan meets the real world.

It means knowing what questions to ask. Recognizing a problem before it becomes a bigger one. Knowing when to bring someone else into the conversation. And helping the next generation of builders learn from what came before them.

Experience isn’t something we hire for a proposal.

It’s something we build over careers.

Every project starts as an idea.

Plans become layouts. Lines on a drawing become pipe, concrete, steel, and systems built to perform.

But none of it becomes real without the people in the field.

Our craft professionals bring experience, skill, and problem-solving to the work every day, turning what was designed into infrastructure communities can depend on.

Ideas are drawn. Infrastructure is built.

And it takes great people to bring it to life.

Project complete at the Dos Palos Water Treatment Plant.

From construction through startup and commissioning, months of planning, coordination, and craftsmanship have come together in a facility built to serve the Dos Palos community for years to come.

Reaching completion took more than finishing the work. It meant carefully testing and verifying systems, working through the details, and making sure the facility was ready to perform as designed.

Thank you to the craft professionals, field leaders, project team, partners, and everyone who had a hand in getting it done. Your commitment to safety, attention to detail, and steady ex*****on carried this project across the finish line.

With startup and commissioning complete, the facility is ready to do what it was built to do: provide reliable service to the Dos Palos community for years to come.

This is the kind of work you don’t see every day.

45 feet. One continuous lift. Months of planning.

At the RP-1 Solids Thickening Project, Project Manager Isaiah Andrade takes us behind the work that went into one of the project’s most critical concrete operations.

Complex is what we’re built for.

There’s always a bigger picture.

Beyond the concrete, pipe, equipment, and structures are the resources we’re working to protect and the communities counting on the finished system.

That perspective matters.

What we build matters. So does how we build it.

On projects like East County Advanced Water Purification Project, our work is part of a much bigger responsibility. The infrastructure being built today will help manage vital resources and serve the community long after our crews leave the jobsite.

That’s what Be an Environmental Steward means at LYLES.

It means understanding the impact of our work. Protecting the places where we build. Managing resources responsibly. And making decisions with the long-term outcome in mind.

Because leaving the world better than we found it starts with taking responsibility for the work in front of us.

The final concrete pour for the East Mission Gorge diversion structure marks a major milestone for the Advanced Water Purification Program.

This structure is where the journey begins.

Once complete, it will receive raw wastewater from the existing collection system and redirect it to the East Mission Gorge Pump Station. From there, it will be pumped through the new pipeline to the main Advanced Water Purification facilities, making this a critical link in the infrastructure that supports the entire program.

Projects like this demand careful planning, precise sequencing, and close coordination from the field teams who bring them to life safely, one milestone at a time.
While much of this work happens below ground and out of sight, its impact will be felt for decades through the reliable infrastructure that helps protect public health and supports the future of water in our communities.
