EXISTING SOLAR SYSTEM ANALYSIS

Not every solar system we work on is one we installed.

In fact, many homeowners come to us years after their original installation because they’re trying to figure out one simple thing:

“Is my solar system actually doing what it’s supposed to?”

That’s where an Existing System Analysis comes in.

We take the time to review the homeowner’s current system, production, equipment and energy usage to get a clearer picture of how the system is performing — and whether something may need attention.

Sometimes the system is working just fine.
Sometimes the homeowner’s energy needs have changed.
Sometimes we uncover an issue that deserves a closer look.

Either way, our goal isn’t to automatically sell you another system.

It’s to understand the one you already have first.

Because even if PJB Consulting didn’t install your solar, we can still help you understand it. ☀️

Already have solar but have questions about your system? Send us a message.

What’s up, friends and family!

I need your honest opinion….. Which logo do you like better? 👀

I’m working on a new neon logo for a video series I’ll be launching soon, and I’d love your feedback.

The series won’t just be about selling solar. It’ll cover topics like:

⚡ How to protect yourself from misleading sales tactics
⚡ What to do if you’ve been taken advantage of by a solar company
⚡ How to file complaints with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
⚡ Understanding your warranties and contracts
⚡ Troubleshooting common solar issues
⚡ Battery backup, monitoring, maintenance, and system diagnostics
⚡ How to navigate disputes, paperwork, and even arbitration if needed

There are a lot of resources available to homeowners that most people don’t know about, and I want to help educate the community!!!

As many of you know, P.J.B. Consulting is more than just solar sales. We serve as your Solar Consumer Advocate, helping homeowners before, during, and long after installation.

So… which logo gets your vote? #1 or #2? Let me know in the comments! 💙

Did your solar system stop producing after a power outage?

Believe it or not, solar systems are a lot like computers. Sometimes they simply need a hard reset to restore normal operation.

If your home recently experienced a power outage—especially if you don’t have battery backup—your inverter or monitoring system may need to be restarted. Even homes with battery backup can occasionally benefit from a proper system reset.

Before assuming there’s an expensive repair, it’s worth checking the basics.

A typical hard reset includes:
• Turning off the AC disconnect
• Shutting down the solar inverter
• Powering the system back up in the correct sequence
• Confirming the inverter and monitoring system are communicating properly

⚠️ Every manufacturer has a different startup and shutdown procedure. Following the wrong sequence could cause issues, so always refer to your equipment’s instructions or consult a professional.

If you’d like a step-by-step guide for Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, Franklin, EG4, SunPower, or other systems, send me a DM and I’ll send you the instructions.

If you’re local and need a hand, I’m also happy to stop by and help you perform a basic hard reset free of charge. Sometimes a 10-minute visit can save you an unnecessary service call.

If the reset doesn’t solve the problem, we also provide professional troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, repairs, battery installations, new solar systems, off-grid systems, EV chargers, and energy consultations.
