There are many items on the market celebrating 250 years of the existence of our great country. With the history of the brand, it is appropriate that Ka-Bar would commemorate the year with a specially marked classic Ka-Bar military knife.

I am told by Ka-Bar that this will not be limited. Even unlimited, it will have a large collector following.

In addition to the Ka-Bar, we have included 11 new knives from Spyderco and a variety of knives from other brands.

Last week I promised that this week's special would be filled with handmade knives from Dozier Arkansas Made, Chris Reeve, Sam Roddy, Keith Murr, Robert Young, Randy Lee, A.G. Russell Shopmade and Gransfors Bruks Axes.

You will find that is what we have accomplished. In addition, I have added a few of A.G.'s original K87 One Hand Knife™ which had been set back years ago. Phil has checked all of those which are included to verify that they are fully functional to the level A.G. would have wanted.

The Hen & Rooster knives in this group were samples in the sales room when A.G. purchased the company in 1975. They were made prior to 1975 and I believe perhaps as early as the mid 1800s. They have been in A.G.'s safe here in Northwest Arkansas since his purchase of the company.

Please notice the identifying sample number printed either on one of the blades or on one of the Mother-of-Pearl scales. Please don't let anyone remove those numbers. Removal will reduce the value.

This week you are going to find our special filled with Slip Joint Folders. Most are of traditional construction, but there are a few from Benchmade, Boker, CRKT, and Spyderco that are modern versions of the slip joint. They are still slip joints, which means they have no blade locking mechanism.

There are many, many more traditional slip joint folders on our website, which can be found at agrussell.com/slipjoint-knives.

Many of you still prefer these traditional folders.

Last week, we mentioned that we had received a few more of four models in our June delivery of Randall knives and had a few on our shelves.

Several of you noticed that note buried at the bottom of the Notes and took advantage of those being available. We sold completely out of the Model 25 with Thuya wood.

If you are interested in the Copper Combat Companion (RA-MCCSC5), Model 27 Copper Mini (RA-M27CMGS) or the Gambler with Thuya (RA-MGBTW4S-C), there are still a few in our vault, but they are selling steadily. Now would be a good time to place your order before those are also gone.

To create two unique new knives, Randall has chosen the Companion and the Model 27 Mini. This is the first time I have seen a Randall knife with copper fittings. As far as I can tell, there has never even been one made as a single for a customer.
