⚾🐾 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE C&J WOOFERS! 💙💛

In case you weren't aware, the Milwaukee Brewers are about to play Game 1 of the World Series! ⚾🎉

And Nova, of course, is convinced this is 100% because of her and the little pep talk she gave the team during our Fit of the Week post a couple of weeks ago. 😂🐶

So naturally, she figured she'd better suit up again and help bring home a World Series championship!

She refused to wear her pinstripes this time around because she didn't want to get them dirty. 🙄😂

Instead, she swiped her big brother Aspen's Brewers bandanna, grabbed her batting helmet and a bat, and declared herself ready for Game 1!

Of course, in true Nova fashion, getting her to actually KEEP the helmet on her head was a whole different ballgame. 😂

But she managed to cooperate long enough for a few pictures before deciding she'd done more than enough to help the team.

Now it's up to the Brewers to take it from here!

🎉🐾 Fit of the Week — It’s a Woofer Birthday Pawty! 🎂🥳

We’re lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives who deserve a birthday shout-out from the C&J Woofers. Unfortunately, if we celebrated everyone we know and love, every week of the year would be birthday week! 😂

But last week was a little different. We had a birthday right here in the Woofer household!

So, to all our friends and family whose birthdays have come and gone without a proper Woofer celebration, consider this one yours, too! ❤️🎉

Our boy Aspen celebrated his birthday last Monday! 🥳🐶

Now, Aspen didn’t exactly want the pressure of a full-blown photo shoot on his special day, so we decided to let him enjoy himself, see how things played out, and fill everyone in this Monday.

Turns out, even a simple little birthday pawty comes with its fair share of shenanigans. 😂

Aspen was pretty excited about his new toys. Nova, on the other hand, wasn’t entirely sure what all the fuss was about, but she did manage to find a few fabulous birthday hats and immediately started looking for ways to steal the show. 👑🎉

After trying out a few of his new squeakers, Aspen realized there weren’t any more presents coming. Not one to give up easily, he decided to see if he could turn his birthday hat into another gift. 😂

And, as anyone with younger siblings knows, they always want to see what the older one got for their birthday.

Monday was no exception.

At first, Aspen wasn’t particularly interested in sharing. But after a while, it looked like he was being a pretty good big brother, letting Nova play with his new toys.

How sweet, right?

Wrong. 😂

Turns out, it was all a diversion tactic so he could swipe the toy she liked and sneak away for a birthday photo with a very reluctant Banjo.

Unfortunately, the cats weren’t nearly as impressed with Aspen’s special day as he was.

Banjo agreed to stand beside the birthday boy for approximately three seconds before deciding he’d fulfilled his obligations.

Rowan couldn’t even be bothered to leave his throne in front of the fireplace, so Aspen had to bring the birthday celebration to him. 😂🐱

Meanwhile, while Aspen was busy posing for pictures, Queen Nova managed to reclaim her favorite of his new toys.

But apparently that wasn’t enough.

Once she realized Aspen was getting all the attention on the couch with their little furry buddy, she decided she needed a picture with Rowan, too!

Of course, the moment it was her turn, she suddenly became camera-shy. And she’d had just about enough of that ridiculous birthday hat.

Aspen, being the opportunist he is, was more than happy to add the discarded hat to his growing collection of birthday toys. 😂🎩

Somewhere in the middle of all this excitement, the birthday boy even managed to sneak in a little cake while his sister was taking a nap.

Because, as we all know, stealing your brother’s birthday presents and being a full-time diva is exhausting. 😂🎂🐾

And just like that, another birthday was in the books.

It’s funny how these animals find their way into our lives and take up such a huge place in our hearts.

We bring home these adorable little furballs thinking about all the cuddles, companionship, and wonderful memories ahead.

What we don’t always think about is the first couple of years of cleaning up p*e and p**p, replacing chewed-up belongings, and wondering what the hell we’ve gotten ourselves into. 😂

Then, almost before we know it, they’ve grown out of those crazy puppy years and settled into the prime of their lives.

We get six or eight wonderful years of adventures, routines, unconditional love, and all those little things that make them who they are.

And then, somehow, they’re considered seniors.

The gray starts showing up. They slow down a little. Birthdays start feeling a bit different.

And we realize that no matter how many years we’re lucky enough to have with them, it’s never going to feel like enough.

Someday, they’ll break our hearts in a way only someone who’s loved an animal can truly understand.

But knowing all of that, knowing how the story eventually ends, we’d still choose to bring them home and do it all over again.

Every single time. ❤️🐾

So here’s to our birthday boy, Aspen! We hope you enjoyed your special day, even if your little sister tried her hardest to make it all about her. 😂❤️

And to all our friends, family, and furry companions celebrating birthdays, whether we remembered to give you a shout-out or not, this pawty is for you, too!

⚾🐾 Fit of the Week — Milwaukee Brewers Edition! 💙💛

The C&J Woofers aren't exactly the biggest baseball fans, but mention the word BALL and suddenly you've got their undivided attention. 😂🐶⚾

Things started off pretty calmly. Not a whole lot of action on the field, although we did have a slight uniform malfunction before the first pitch.

Apparently, baseball uniforms are special-order items, and whoever was responsible for Aspen's may or may not have made a slight error when placing the order. We're not naming names, but let's just say management is currently reviewing its purchasing procedures. 😂

Lucky for Nova, the uniform mix-up meant she got to choose which one she wanted to wear. After giving it some serious consideration, she decided to trade in her navy blue for the pinstripes. She thought they showed off her figure a little better. 😂🐶⚾

Once she got her jersey on, Nova decided defense was going to be her specialty. Unfortunately for Aspen, her definition of defense meant guarding every single toy on the field and making sure her older brother couldn't get anywhere near them. 😂🐶

Aspen did manage to snag himself a pretty impressive pop fly, but when it came time to step up to the plate, neither Woofer could seem to get a hit.

Of course, it's pretty hard to hit a baseball when neither player will let the other one have the bat. Instead of taking turns at the plate, they spent most of their time chasing each other around trying to steal it. 😂⚾🐾

They even tried helping each other out a few times by bringing the ball directly to the bat. You'd think that would've made things a little easier, but somehow, neither of them could make contact. 😂

Unfortunately, that brief moment of teamwork didn't last.

Before long, the benches cleared, the gloves came off, and what started as a friendly little baseball game turned into an all-out brawl. 😂⚾🐾

We're still waiting on the official ruling, but with both players claiming victory and neither willing to admit defeat, we may never know who actually won.

The good news? At least we're hoping the Milwaukee Brewers can pull off the win! 💙💛⚾

And whether you're a lifelong baseball fan, a casual spectator, or just someone who gets excited whenever somebody yells BALL, the Woofers hope they managed to bring a little extra entertainment to your day.

🏠 Back Where It Started…

Earlier this year, our crew headed north to frame this beautiful new home from the ground up. Recently, we had the opportunity to head back and add some of the finishing touches—and it's pretty incredible seeing how far it's come!

This time around, our work included installing the wood ceilings throughout the covered outdoor living areas, the woodwork surrounding the exposed gable trusses, and the decorative beams and trim that carry through the vaulted interior ceilings.

One of the things we really like about this project is how all those details come together. The warm wood ceilings and exposed beams add a lot of character to the outdoor living spaces, while the decorative beams inside help carry that same look throughout the home. And with all those windows, you can appreciate much of that craftsmanship from either side of the glass.

There's something pretty satisfying about walking back into a house you once saw as nothing more than walls, trusses, and piles of lumber—and seeing it turned into a home like this.

We've been fortunate over the years to be involved in all kinds of projects, from smaller repairs and remodeling jobs to framing entire homes. And while siding and roofing might be what most people know us for, there's quite a bit more to what we do.

We're grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of this project, not just once, but twice. It's always rewarding to see the finished product start coming together, especially when you remember what it looked like at the very beginning.

🎀🐾 Fit of the Week — Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The C&J Woofers are trading in their usual look for a whole lot of pink this week. 💕🐶
(Quick disclaimer before anyone gets concerned about Aspen’s snout — yes, he’s still sporting a few remnants from last week’s new coffee release. 😂 He’s healing up nicely, but being a barista apparently comes with occupational hazards. ☕🐶)
Aspen was perfectly fine with wearing some pink for a good cause… but he drew the line at the skirt. 😂 He decided he’d leave that part to Nova, so she happily took over and stole the show. 💕🐶
Nova, on the other hand, needed absolutely no convincing. Between the pink, the tutu and getting all dressed up, she may have discovered her new favorite color. 💕
One thing about Aspen — no matter how ridiculous the theme gets, he takes his modeling job VERY seriously. 😂🐶 Nova usually does pretty well too, but this week she got a little sidetracked.
We’re not sure if wearing pink is just a lot of work or if that tutu was a little too cozy, but she even managed to sneak in a few naps between pictures. 😂💕 I guess being fabulous is exhausting.
Even Banjo and Rowan volunteered to make an appearance for this one — treats or no treats — because they thought this week was important enough to show up for. 🐱❤️
Although they seemed to be a little more interested in Nova’s outfit than the actual photoshoot. Her tutu eventually spooked Banjo, and just like that, he turned into a magician and disappeared. 😂🐱💨
But in all seriousness, there’s a reason the Woofers are wearing pink this week.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
To those currently facing breast cancer, to the survivors, to the families and friends standing beside someone going through it, and to everyone who has had to say goodbye to someone they loved because of it — we see you, and we commend you. ❤️
And if a couple of goofy dogs dressed head to toe in pink can put a smile on someone’s face today, even for just a moment, then this week’s Fit of the Week did exactly what we hoped it would.
If you know someone who could use that smile, please share this one with them.
We don’t care if they need a roof. We don’t care if they’re planning a remodel. This post isn’t about that.
At the end of the day, we’re all just people. We’re all going through things that the person next to us may know absolutely nothing about. And sometimes something as simple and ridiculous as a couple of dogs dressed in pink can make a hard day just a tiny bit better. ❤️🐾
Cancer doesn’t care what your family looks like — whether it’s a traditional family, one filled with furballs, or one that’s a little less ordinary and includes something with scales swimming around a fish tank. When someone you love is hurting, the whole family feels it.
So this week, from our slightly ridiculous pink crew to yours, we’re sending a little extra love to everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. 🎀❤️

☕🐾 Fit of the Week — National Coffee Day!

Tomorrow is National Coffee Day, and the C&J Woofers decided it was their turn to try their paws at being baristas.

Right off the bat, we probably should've known this wasn't going to go well. 😂

Nova was NOT a fan of the uniform. She said the hat was way too restricting on her "Yoda" ears, so she spent most of her shift improvising ways to keep her hat off. Aspen seemed a little more willing to play along... at least for a while. ☕🐶

Things eventually settled down, and it even looked like each of them had chosen a "coffee" they liked.

Unfortunately, nobody warned us those stuffed coffees apparently contained caffeine.

A few minutes later, all hell broke loose. 😂☕🐾

Uniforms were coming off in every direction, and much like the day the new fall or holiday flavors get released, it quickly became every dog for themselves.

Nova guarded the coffees for as long as she could, but Aspen eventually made off with hers. She fought valiantly to get it back — and succeeded — because apparently "sharing coffee" isn't part of the Woofer vocabulary. 😂

After watching these two attempt one shift behind the counter, we have a whole new appreciation for the people who actually do this every day.

Whether it's a madhouse of people trying to get their hands on the newest seasonal flavor or just the usual morning rush, there's a lot going on behind that counter before that cup of coffee ever makes it into your hands. ☕❤️

And since we're celebrating National Coffee Day, we wanted to give a special shout-out to one of our own local businesses, Cafe Slovenka.

Thank you for not only keeping our little town supplied with coffee and treats, but for giving the community a beautiful place to gather. Whether it's a Sunday morning, a business meeting, or just catching up with a friend over a cup of coffee, you're always greeted with a smile when you walk through the door and well wishes when you're on your way out.

Small businesses are about more than what they sell or the services they provide. They're also about the communities they get to be a part of — and we're pretty lucky to have some great ones around here. ❤️

🐾 💕Fit of the Week — National Daughters Day! 💕👩‍🦰

The C&J Woofers heard that Friday is National Daughters Day, and naturally, they decided they needed to crash the party. 😂

Knowing how much the young lady in their lives loves fall, they figured they’d dress for the occasion. They got into their best fall outfits… but may have taken things just a little too far. 🍂😂🐶

Now, I don’t think even on my daughter’s WORST hair day has she ever looked quite like these two did getting all dolled up for the occasion. But hey, they gave it their best shot! 🤣🐶

All jokes aside, this week is about celebrating the wonderful daughters and young women in our lives. ❤️

Whether your daughter is brand-new to this world, has been here a while, is related to you by blood, or is someone you’ve taken under your wing, Friday is a great day to remind her just how much she means to you.

It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. A 30-second hug, a five-minute phone call, or an afternoon spent together. Sometimes the simplest things mean the most.

Whatever you do, just make sure she knows your life wouldn’t be the same without her. ❤️

🐾 Fit of the Week — Grandparents Day Edition! 🐾

This week, the C&J Woofers decided to celebrate Grandparents Day by trying out a few of their favorite things about grandparents for themselves. 😂

Nova thought she'd start with a classic — serving up some milk and cookies. 🥛🍪 Unfortunately, the serving part didn't last very long. She quickly decided the cookies were much more fun to play with than to hand out.

Aspen decided he'd give golfing a try. ⛳ He was pretty excited about his new clubs... until he realized he probably should've read the fine print before ordering them. Turns out he got the world's tiniest golf set. 😂 He couldn't help but wonder if that's why they call it mini golf. Either way, he still managed to have a pretty good time.

Rowan even stuck around for a couple of poses, but the minute Aspen and Nova started talking about matching grandma-and-grandpa outfits, he got out of there as fast as he could. Even Rowan has his limits. 😂🐱

All joking aside, grandparents play so many different roles in the lives of not only their own grandchildren, but often the children around them as well. They're teachers, babysitters, chauffeurs, cheerleaders, storytellers, advice-givers, cookie suppliers, and so much more.

There are simply too many qualities they bring and too many hats they wear to ever list them all.

We just hope all the grandparents out there know how much they're appreciated — not only today, but every day. ❤️

🏠 A Little Addition Project

We haven’t had much time lately to sort through all the job photos we’ve collected, so we figured it was time to sneak an actual project in between all the C&J Woofer posts. 😂🐾

This time, we’re featuring a small addition we recently sided for a good friend and neighbor.

We installed new siding on the addition and tied it into the existing siding on the home. It may not be one of our biggest projects, but smaller projects deserve a little attention too!
