This is the second VMI wheelchair van we've repaired with this exact failure. This one came in missing the entire driver side mounting "ear" along with all of the hardware.

No problem... we fabricated a replacement, installed all new hardware, and improved the design by adding additional mounting bolt locations on each ear. It's an upgrade that should have been done from the factory and will greatly reduce the chances of this failure happening again.

A lot of people only see the "cool car" welding and fabrication that we post, but that's only a small part of what we do. We spend just as much time repairing broken equipment, fixing failed welds, and keeping our customers' vehicles and equipment working as it should. Those jobs may not always make it onto Facebook, but they're every bit as important.

If it's broken, cracked, worn out, or needs a custom solution, we'd be happy to take a look.

Also, just a heads up for anybody needing work done that I am currently 4ish weeks out on work unless it is a small simple repair off the vehicle. Thank you all for your continued support.

If you've been around the shop this past year, chances are you've seen this beast sitting on one of the hoists while we slowly chipped away at it.
This is the old man's 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. It came in for a completely custom turbo kit along with a handful of other upgrades—and this build has a pretty cool history.
Back in 2011, this car started its life in Texas and held the world record for the highest horsepower Genesis Coupe for quite some time. (It now makes alot more power)
Over the years, it's received a complete makeover. Almost every part on the car has been upgraded or redone by Dad, and this turbo setup was the final piece of the puzzle that I had the honor of fabricating for him.
A few years back, we even had the opportunity to have David Patterson from That Dude In Blue come out and film the car before we turned it up even more.
Here's what we knocked out:
✔️ Custom tubular front mount for the new SpeedFactory intercooler
✔️ Full 3" intercooler piping with Vibrant HD clamps throughout
✔️ Custom turbo manifold featuring a billet head fl**ge and billet merge collector
✔️ One-off 2-in-1 coolant/power steering reservoir
✔️ New downpipe and wastegate dump with the Tomei titanium exhaust converted to V-bands
✔️ Shaved Golden Eagle intake manifold with all fittings converted to AN
✔️ Locally designed and machined billet intake manifold spacer and billet turbo manifold fl**ge
✔️ Custom billet throttle body adapter designed by me to mate the factory throttle body to a Vibrant HD clamp
✔️ I designed and 3D printed custom hose clamps and a battery tray that secures the SpeedFactory catch can
✔️ Finished it all off with a titanium intake
This one was a fun project from start to finish, and we're excited to finally see it back on the road where it belongs.

It's never a bad day when we get to work on Lashark😈 Brought all the way BACK from Des Moines because they know the quality that they are going to leave with every time. Now THAT says something!

We had previously built them intercooler piping, and built the hood dump pipes. They recently purchased a brand new carbon fiber hood and hood latches- so we installed those, cut the hole for the exhaust, and made a new beauty ring! While we were at it, we designed and 3D Printed a coolant overflow tank bracket out of carbon fiber filament to drop the tank down a bit to clear the hood. You know where to come to get nothing but the best! 😎🤝

The real OG's will remember this car, we did the tube front end, and roll cage on this bad unit a couple years ago at the old shop. It came in for some more fab work, and here is what we completed
✔️ Built new charge pipe from Intercooler to Intake to help reduce IAT as the old one was very close to the downpipe as shown.
✔️ Installed an over the axle Anti-Roll bar kit
✔️ Installed suspension travel limiters
✔️ Fabricated a spot for a screw in style tow hook

This BEAUTIFUL low mile STI popped by for a new downpipe! The old one had been used on previous generation cars the owner had, and was time to get replaced after having many cracks/holes from age. We purchased an aftermarket one, made some "slight modifications" to it 😉, and got it leak free ready to tear up the streets again!
