The homeowner works remotely and didn’t want weeks of disruption.

So we compressed the schedule and completed the project in nine working days while she was out of town for the holidays.

She came home to a finished bathroom.

• 24” x 24” main floor tile for smooth mobility
• Basketweave mosaic shower floor for traction
• Solid surface corner shelves matching the
countertops
• Grab bars for added safety

The goal wasn’t just appearance. It was long-term comfort, independence, and ease of care.

When small issues were brought to our attention after completion, we returned and corrected them — at no charge.

Such a cool door! Custom made by Cory Miller, we had the pleasure of installing this bad boy last week! Who needs all that clunky hardware when you can go with something like this??

WHEN WATER DAMAGE HITS, DETAILS MATTER.

This project started with a leaking refrigerator water line.

The result?
Damaged carpet pad, compromised insulation, and sections of kitchen tile removed during water abatement.

We handled the restoration from start to finish:

• Replaced carpet pad and re-stretched existing carpet
• Installed new trim
• Replaced crawlspace insulation
• Carefully demo’d and re-tiled the kitchen floor
• Salvaged and reinstalled tile to seamlessly patch the entry

The goal wasn’t just repair.
It was to make it look like it never happened.

MORE THAN JUST TILE.

This tub-to-shower conversion required more than setting tile.

We removed the existing handicap unit, opened the wall, modified framing and plumbing, reinforced the subfloor, and finished with a clean, durable walk-in shower system.

Projects like this highlight the difference between surface updates and full-scope remodel work.

FULL TILE PACKAGE — NEW CONSTRUCTION HOME

Recently completed tile work in this beautiful Martin’s General Construction home, on a project coordinated by Doren Tile & Stone.

This project included:

• Two fully tiled walk-in showers
• Solid surface corner shelves matching vanity countertops
• Clean metal accent line to break up field tile
• Main kitchen backsplash
• Mother-in-law quarters backsplash

The goal was simple: cohesive finishes throughout the entire home.

Details matter — from trim alignment to fixture placement to clean transitions.

And yes… this project kicked off five days after bicep surgery. One-handed in a splint. Because commitments matter.

Now booking upcoming bathroom remodels and custom tile projects in La Grande and surrounding areas.

Busted out this little half bath floor and loving how it came together!
Went with a 4”x4” green hex tile paired with midnight black grout, and it ties in perfectly with that bold Gucci wallpaper. Can’t wait to see the finished product once the rest of the bathroom comes together — this one’s going to be a showstopper!

The science behind tile installations!

Proper installation methods are paramount to a quality install that will survive the test of time!

Make sure the contractor you choose for your tile installations is educated in installation methods and up to date on waterproofing techniques in wet areas! Those two things are crucial!

A shower can look amazing, but if the installation is done incorrectly, expect to see cracked tiles, grout failing, and water damage!

And remember, the only thing more expensive than hiring a qualified contractor, is having to pay for something to be done twice!
