Silver Lake Lewisberry PA Silver Lake Community Association (Lewisberry PA) Official Page We are at a seminal moment. Hurricane Ida damaged our lake’s 250 yo damn.

Rehabilitation is expected to be in the range of $750K - all from private funds. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE REPAIRS WILL COST AND WE CAN BORROW MONEY IF NEEDED. Any help with fundraising is appreciated- the clock is ticking. If we fail to raise funds the dam will be breeched by the state and it will become marshes. WHOEVER POSTED THIS IS NOT GIVING CORRECT INFORMATION. THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION AND MEMBERS WILL SAVE THE LAKE. The Silver Lake Community Association governs and maintains the community’s property, dams, feeder streams, etc. The SLCA and its members - property once part of the Silver Lake Colony with water frontage and deeded access to Silver Lake - are jointly responsible for the maintenance of our dams and for compliance with regulations including an annual engineer inspection. PA DEP reclassified our lake in 2014 as a High Hazard Dam. Since that time the community has been preparing for the structural remediation of our 250 year old earthen dam and 60 year old spillway.

The Lakeside Elves are organizing Christmas Caroling around Silver Lake!
We handed out flyers to all the houses and if you weren't home, we left them at your door. Let's hope they didn't blow away! Just in case - here are the deets:
We will gather on 12/20/25 at 4 PM at Anna & Travis's house at the far end of Cardinal Lane. From there we will walk-n-sing down Cardinal to Silver Lake; making merry across the earthen dam to West Street, down to Siddonsburg and across to Marie Avenue, ending at the far end of Marie.
We are looking for a few fine folks to sign up for progressive snacks and festive drinks on our singing journey. The carolers would appreciate a few quick moments in some toasty warm houses to refresh and fuel themselves with food or festive drinks.
If you would like to host the carolers for a quick bite or sip, please text the Wymers at (717) 332- 0716 by 12/10/2025.
No need to sign up to carol. Carolers just show up at the designated time and place. Bring your family! Let's have a grand time! Our carols can only be heard if we have lots of singers.
Battery candles and song-books will be provided; but feel free to bring your own light if you wish.
If this year goes well we would love to extend our walkpath in future years to neighbors farther from the water.
There is no rain date, so let's hope the weather cooperates with our plans. If you are uncertain if we are caroling, text (717) 332-0716 on the 20th to ask.
Be sure to dress for the weather.
We look forward to a fun evening of neighbors enjoying this awesome lake community. We hope to see you all there!

Here are the planned festivities for July 4th. Enjoy and be safe!

Dead Fish -3:00PM, registration at 2:45. Hosted by Dan Ritts at 802 Marie Avenue, ( It's a game using canoes. Each team tries to get a floating object in the other team's canoe with their paddles.)

Kids balloon chase-4:00PM, registration at 3:45. Hosted by Scotty Roberge at 793 Silver Lake Road.

Kayak/canoe race-5:30PM, registration at 5:15. Hosted by Van Hoffman at 815 West Street.
