Another project done! Stunning before and after.

This was another interesting project; The home was a ranch style bungalow whose owner wanted a basement conversion from completely unfinished to a completed space with a full bath, laundry, study and plenty of storage. The home featured a single bath that was also to be gutted, redesigned and built.

The fact that the house was occupied meant the basement project was to be started first. Waste pipe was about four feet off the ground floor, requiring a pump to bring waste water to soil pipe level. The space was not insulated, windows were old and not closing properly. Soil pipe was cracked (yikes!) from improper installation many years ago and the stairway was needing a lot of attention.

The first floor bath presented a couple of different issues as well. For one, it is small... less than five feet across. The length is about 7 feet. We redesigned the bath, picture-framed the shower and removed a small linen closet. Like many older homes, there is a full size wood window in the middle of the shower. No sure about the logic of that decision, but it is common.

This is a recent redesign and remodel of a condo galley kitchen. The goal was to increase counter space and work flowwhile while creating a whole new look. Additional work included crown molding throughout the first floor and all hardwood floors refinished.

We took advantage of some dead wall space which freed up more area to work with while managing to create a broom closet. The slide in range is a downdraft model as Condo Association rules do not allow new venting through the roof. Exotic water filtration and ionization system was relocated from the counter to under cabinets with custom pullout tray for servicing. Wall tile and backsplash are glass. Counters are quartz.

These are further details to a whole house project we undertook on behalf of our clients. The house was originally a 3 bedroom with a 2nd floor full bath and a small non-functioning full bath in the basement. Our design transformed the home to 4 bedrooms and 4 full custom baths. An old breezeway was removed and an additional structure was built adding living space and a master bedroom suite. All utilities were upgraded with new heating, new electrical service, new plumbing, and new A/C.
