At Hausmann, we believe in using our voice to support causes that matter to our people and our communities. For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, team members across our offices and jobsites wore pink to show solidarity with patients, survivors, and families. Each Friday in pink earned an entry into our end-of-month drawing, and one person is selected to support a charity of their choice with a donation. We’re grateful for a team that shows up.

The final beam is up at Greenwood Elementary. Soon K–5 students in Lee’s Summit will have grade-level wings built around how they learn, plus a media center, art and music rooms, a cafeteria, a gym and a new playground. Thanks to Lee’s Summit R-7 School District and Incite Design Studio for partnering with us to build a school this community will be proud of.

Giving back is part of how we build. Wherever we work, we look for ways to show up for the communities we’re part of. For our Lincoln team, that meant trading hard hats for costumes and volunteering at Boo at the Zoo! We’re thankful to keep growing our partnership with the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.

A lot can happen in 46 days. This timelapse shows the pond coming together inside the new glass-enclosed butterfly garden at the Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium.

Once finished, visitors will be able to watch fish swim beneath water spilling over Sioux quartzite while butterflies flutter overhead. It’s shaping up to be one of the most peaceful spots in the entire garden.

Ashland Fire’s volunteer members signed their new station floors recently, putting their names into a building that will support their mission for the next 50+ years. For Hausmann, public safety work means building facilities that hold up under pressure, just like the people inside them. A new era of Coyote athletics has begun. The University of South Dakota set out to build one of the best indoor track facilities in the nation, and the Gassen Family Fieldhouse is on its way. Alongside the Gassen family, coaches, university leaders, Board of Regents, and the project team, we celebrated the groundbreaking of this new venue—featuring a 200-meter banked track, seating for nearly 2,000, and the ability to bring top competition to Vermillion.
