The passive radon system's shortcoming is demonstrated here. As seen, the passive system was placed under the slab to create suction from beneath the slab, extending through the roof. The issue lies in the gravel under the slab, which has completely obstructed the builder's input system. We had to redirect the system into a new hole cored in the slab. To maintain optimal suction levels, a 3-foot diameter suction pit was created. When utilizing RadonAway 145s, it is vital to ensure your manometer reads between 0.5 and 1 in terms of flow rate. By creating a new hole, with a new suction pit, the problem was successfully resolved.
